I asked "why?" they said "it's all the same shit".
Feel like I've just been outflanked by some lib boomers.
fuck
I just tried to test that by going to bing and searching 'porn'. Yup that's porn alright. 👍
Porn? I meant Corn. Delicious corn. Nourishing and good for you. Where would the cumless masses be without the corn to sustain us?
What kinda of porn is hard and has to be tracked down like this. Is it like, extra good?
DuckDuckGo is incredible for finding pirated content. Can't speak for porn though, i haven't tried.
I don't understand. Porn is everywhere....is it to find specific porn? What sort of surgical precision masturbation are these people getting up to?
I have no idea why, but Bing image search really is better at finding porn than google
my guess is i think that google is pressured more into policying and removing on the copyright front than bing because who cares about what you can find on bing no one uses it
microsoft literally gives you rewards points for using bing you can spend on like gift cards and shit
Had a similar interaction with a person who still used internet explorer and wondered why YouTube wasn't working properly
The only thing I've used internet explorer for in the last 10 years is to log in to ancient router interfaces or use government websites that "recommend" it for some reason. Even worse this person was a millennial that uses computers all the time, when I asked them why they were using internet explorer still I got "I've always used it".
Worked at a trashy IT corp and the customer demanded that our system we sell them works on Internet Explorer, because they aren't gonna install anything else on the computers.
Maintaining IE6 compatibility because they don't want to install another browser. Pro moves😎😎😎
Nah, it was IE10. But they had to install the proprietary stuff from our company in the end anyway, so it was kinda dumb. The developers tested on Chrome though, and then when the inevitable IE10 wtfness came up with the customers they had a Pikachu face that how dare this not work on IE.
So PSA if you want google (or bing for that matter) search results but don't want to give up your data to google or Microsoft, there are meta search engines like https://searx.info/
Personalized search results or results based on location won't work for obvious reasons, but that's probably for the better.

Ah yes, I'll certainly benefit from searching for a restaurant and getting one on the opposite side of the country
Just search "restaurant [city / zip code]". It's better than our corporate overlords, and by extension the government, knowing where you went where
iirc for a while bing was stealing results from google until google added countermeasures to stop them
Rich people stealing from rich people. Don't see the problem.
Reminds me of some MIA song where she's like "I got many designs they're downloading on Bing", definitely not the greatest line lol
What a bunch of weirdos. Whenever I use Bing it's purely ironic. "Haha, look, it's giving me 'search results' now, maybe I'll 'click' on one lmao."
Bing is set to default on machines at work, and everytime i accidentaly use it i totally cannot find the results i need, idk how people can live with Bing.
Just now I had to look up what key to access the bios on DELL laptops, couldn't find the info. Why? Cause I accidentaly used bing again. None of the results on the first page had the info needed. Google shows all the info I need to me on the first and second hits. (it's F2)
