When George W did it, they thought that you would have to hide the millions in tax breaks for your rich friends behind a $300 check sent out to everybody else. Now they've come to realize that they don't need the check.

Cuomo has been outed for sexual assault, Biden himself had that leaked audio talking white supremacist stuff, and now Pelosi has been caught up in something.
They are bound to fuck up what little bit of power they have left.

Good question. Corruption in our political landscape has been normalized since the Clinton years. There was a lot of corruption all through the Reagan era, but when Clinton came in, it became more normalized and seen as a normal thing that both parties do. We literally just elected a man to president who has bragged openly about taking money from corporate lobbyists and how it's not all that bad.
