LOL tech bros surprised leopard ate their face.
The next decade is going to be awesome for tech bro's as globalization continues to drive pay rates into the ground. I'm sure this won't lead the rise of completely unhinged racism in this field.
I feel like programming is already full of reactionarys. You're right, though, it will probably get worse.
They tried that already, largely flopped.
What will drive salaries into the ground is companies dropping offices and hiring people to work in wyoming for a quarter of the pay.
Tech bros: "Learn to code, poors!"
Also tech bros: "OH fuck oh fuck the poors learned to code and are flooding the market with cheap labor!"
I mean shit, I've had a CS degree for two years now and still haven't gotten a job in my field. I'm lazy and not very good at CS, but still, shit's not great.
also lmao entry level. No one's getting that job right off the bat. You gotta work in miminum wage for a while before you get to the 15 dollar an hour gigs.
What have you done in the meantime to sustain yourself and pay back your loans? Are you doing anything to maintain or sharpen your tech skills?
$15
Brother I make $17 an hour stocking boxes at FedEx. Jesus Christ this country needs a revolution.
Learn to code though! Not at all stupid/a scam to do exactly this.
Just had this conversation about trade schools not being the answer libs think they are
The elevator technician job market will be overflooded because of a meme
I might have some money in my monthly budget open up :mao-aggro-shining:
If the bounty is less than 3x your rent, it makes financial sense to issue a bounty!
Working retail is hard as fuck and you get treated like shit. 0 experience is misleading too. Obviously, they're going to get a ton of applicants and the ones with previous retail experience are going to get picked over ones without.
Isn't it easier to lie about previous retail experience? When they test you starting out in coding you'd fuck it up easy. If you get in there and they ask you to make a for loop, you'd be all confused. If you get into a grocery store, you can just move the carts around and be fine.
As a software dev, I find it a lot easier than working in the service industry.
I have to know more but do a lot less. To me, that’s easier.
Plus any job that isn’t customer facing is way less stressful.
