This is Bidens re election strategy. Kill every American via COVID except the ones rich enough to have special access to healthcare, and then promise them nothing will fundamentally change so they vote for him.

It's just wild enough to work

and this time there's not even a flimsy, unenforced mask mandate, so only like 1% of people are masking, if that. all hail Grandfather Nurgle i guess agony-shrooms

People at the grocery store apparently assume I'm masking because I want to buy alcohol while underage

I had one actually ask me to pull it down so they could check my card versus my face

I’ve had this happen too, and honestly it makes me want to climb over the counter and strangle the cashier. Go fuuuuuuuck yourself.

It’s especially funny since without a mask I get ID’d maybe 20% of the time, but with one it’s like 60-70%. I haven’t been carded the majority of the time since I grew a beard, at which point I wasn’t even of drinking age.

Honestly on its face I disagree with the premise that stopping minors from buying alcohol is more important than masking. I would rather places end up selling to minors all the time than make people pull their masks down.

650,000 Americans are becoming infected daily, with 1 in 51 Americans currently infected with COVID.

An additional 7% to 10% of the U.S. population will be infected over the next month and a half, Weiland predicted.

This could have been resolved in weeks like in other countries, but we had to keep Applebee's open.

If you've got time to slip out of Rome and see Pompeii/Herculaneum, make Herculaneum your first stop. Less traffic and its way better preserved.

Also... damn, son. Have a great time. I visited Rome 10 years ago, and its still one of my most cherished memories. Stunning beauty, amazing food, very cool people.

I wondered what the CDC director had to say so I had a look at her Twitter account.

As a doctor, a mother, and the head of the CDC, I recommend that you get the latest Covid vaccine.

    Nitter

Because Elon's push of the vile blue ticks - the comments are wasteland of idiocy, misinformation, and anger. Example...

Can't wait for your trial. #Nuremberg2

The CDC director wrote a NYT op-ed too.

The right wing freaks and I both want a Covid Nuremberg trial but we mean very different things by that. I want anyone who lifted restrictions or ended lockdowns hanged. If you signed the order to lift a mask mandate, firing squad, immediately.

Don't worry, we'll get that fixed in a jiffy (by dismantling the public health monitoring systems).

The most recent update on next-generation COVID vaccines is a month ago, when they headed into clinical trials. It's exciting, but they will absolutely not be available to the public before 2024. Getting the 2023 COVID vaccine now is your best option, you will still be able to receive a next-generation vaccine once one is available.

The new shots that just got approved should work against everything floating around at the moment.
