    Happened a lot sooner than that. You can thank Khrushchev for beginning the restoration of capitalism in the USSR. Brezhnev didn't help matters either whatsoever before Gorbachev came in.

    Framing Stalin into a villain and the De-Stalinization of the USSR had massive consequences and set them up for collapse.
