Replace "Winnie the Pooh" with "State Capitalism" and you got yourself a struggle session.
why are they going so hard with censoring winnie the pooh jokes? It wouldn't have gone nearly as far if they just ignored it.
like every recent one of these it is literally self censored by a company trying not to lose their market in china, like for example, i don't think cd projekt got a email from xi or the ccp about devotion but their marketing team probably thought it would be nice to not risk access to the chinese market for a tiny taiwanese gamedev this close to the cyberpunk release
China just generally doesn’t like jokes like that about their leaders, but it’s not like they actually went nuclear and banned all mentions of Winnie the Pooh like Western media pretended.
I think banning Christopher Robin is a little more serious than censoring a couple tweets.
Thanks for the education about the film quota, I had actually never heard of that. Really helps show how the western media likes to outright lie about China.
I'd ban that film if I could, too.
It teaches children to grow up into nonces
some fucking pmc with their head up their ass thought it would get them brownie points with the higher ups. if it wasnt this itd have been another
Racist because the bear is yellow? I mean Obama isn't covered in orange stripes either doesn't seem to me like colour was the driving force here.
My friend, calling Obama a Tigger is one letter away from being racist.
Shh, don't fight the narrative. Now that some xenophobic alt-right fucks have made racist memes out of Winnie the Pooh, it means all mentions of WtP from Westerners should be treated with the same brush. The same logic applies with criticisms of Israel and antisemitism.
I think its cool that communist leaders write books about their governing style, compared to western leaders who write autobiographies sometimes
the circle of content is working, I sto- nationalized this from instagram lol
