I've heard that he's been doxxed and people are trying to get him expelled from the DSA?
As far as I can tell, it's for trying to dunk on someone with this tweet.
Is he in the wrong in some way I can't see, a victim of overreaction, or do I just not have the full picture?
nothing to see here folks, just the twitter social fascists trying to drag a based DSA organizer for being against segregated black communes.
Well, as I dug deeper I discovered at least a few "leftists" trying to turn this whole thing into a rant against Asians. One poster even started ranking the races in terms of racism against black people (whites and asians the worst, followed by Middle Easterners, Latinos, then Native Americans).
Social fascism indeed.
God damn man this whole defense against ‘anti-blackness’ (it’s a historical term, don’t just take it at face value) ideology has been cancer for the left
It's only a matter of time before we're all canceled for dunking on Obama and Harris.
hence why i said don’t take the term at face value. it is a historical term that means more than what it sounds like it means. hard to explain let me see if i can find something that explains it better than i could.
no, but it also genuinely bothers me when people go way overboard with this on other minority groups like asians and Latinos(like directly attacking the group). Anti-blackness is a problem that stems from white supremacy. It’s good to point out the anti-blackness that exists in those groups and criticize them but sometimes I see nasty attacks and that really makes me sad. Maybe it’s just because twitter is a terrible place in general.
Middle Easterners, Latinos
Wtf is a "middle Eastern" or a "Latino" race? "Latino" includes all the white Cuban slave owners too lmao
It was white "leftists" who made slavery jokes, followed by a black girl calling for segregated communes, followed again by Honda's comments.

Uh, yeah there is. It’s literally reactionary. Rather than actively advocating for a better world, you are reactively building your vision of a free world as an inverse of the oppressors’ own vision. I’m sure all the white-nationalists would love to see all the blacks self-segregated into their own “communes.” They might even help you set them up.
I didn’t say it was the same. I said it was inverse. However when you take the inverse of something (in this case the inverse of what you think is bad segregation as opposed to good segregation) you are still doing so with respect to the original something. So your whole fantasy of woke-segregation is still fundamentally based on the practices of the oppressor.
Also you’re essentializing peoples’ role in society by ascribing their ontological position to a factor predetermined at birth rather than engaging in actual historical materialist analysis of the relations between peoples. Basing the new society upon racial distinctions is literally basing your society upon a racial contradiction. How can you hope to have a stable lasting social project when your very socious itself is based upon contradiction?
Much better to base it on the producing class for these reasons: contradiction between socially determined economic classes is actually resolvable in the sense that you can imagine a world of only producers. You cannot imagine a world of only blacks without removing the exception. that removal of the exception is what constitutes every genocide and every atrocity that happened bc people based their societies on fundamentally unresolvable contradictions.
Amber has some bad takes, Zizek has occasional even worse / downright offensive takes. Both are also among my favorite people to read.
Also, there was actually a huge stink in NYC DSA about Adolph Reed coming to speak, and the Afrosocialist caucus protested until he was cancelled due to problematic views on race. Honestly I've never heard him speak, but it was the first time NYC DSA came up in NYT so we had that going for us :)
So there are people who actually unironically want woke segregation? It's not just a hyperbole strawman made up by stupidpol types?
People keep saying that the screenshots he posted are "out of context" but nobody seems to want to post the actual context. Doesn't help that the person who made the segregation post tweets so much that I scrolled for 10 minutes without finding a post that was made only days ago.
i think if context allows you to support segregation then doesn’t that by definition make you literally reactionary. When you change what should be an a priori opposition to fucking segregation into an opposition that has to be confirmed via context, you literally are reacting to context in order to determine your position on segregation.
the very question of “context?” within regards to segregation is reactionary.
I've always thought that anyone who wants a segregated commune is just a Nazbol.
Reminds me of an old race, ethnicity and racism teacher I had at uni.
She kept claiming that 'Australia is a melting pot for all cultures in the world'.
The classes response was essentially that it's not a very good pot if everything mixes together to be white.
Integration implies that Culture B is becoming Culture A. Perhaps a better word is needed, something like 'fusion', where Culture B joins Culture A to become something new entirely, Culture C.
Our current system just saps and destroys the culture of anything 'integrated'
I lied, this is not too online for me. Seems like the criticism of his tweet fall into one of three rough groups:
- Regardless of the validity of any criticism, this tweet (and a tiktok video?) resulted in harassment of OP.
- The OP is a PoC and PoC calls for segregation aren't racist, and criticizing that segregation is racist.
- Segregation is racist, but she was sarcastically responding to harassment and wasn't serious.
2 and 3 are obviously incompatible. I've examined some of the context and I don't think she was being sarcastic, but who knows. However, who thinks woke segregation is compatible with leftism? Yeesh. 1 is possibly valid criticism. OP is a small-time tweeter with like 3k followers, so I think it's pretty clear that he should have censored the username and PFP.
Also everyone is both being racist and accusing everyone else of being the real racist. A complete and absolute shitshow.
In conclusion, I sentence them both to 1 "do better" cat gif and I sentence the crowd harassing them both to hunt down the people doing death-threats and doxx THEM, not these two.
dummy dunking is bad practice, but everyone on twitter (and uh, here) does it
I usually don't care about people getting canceled on Twitter, but it puts a damper on joining the DSA if dunking on someone can get you doxxed by your own side.
It is also encouraging however that the DSA is on the correct side of this issue rather than on the performative radlib/social-fascist side of things. You just love to see the reactionary critique basically amounting to “delete this” or “you can’t say that you aren’t black” Literally just an appeal to censorship or to essentialist nonsense about who can say what based on their skin color. no substantive critique at all
Honda is based and a good dsa comrade. The attacks on him were ridiculous.
Feels like nobody is paying attention.
The ability to manipulate social media used to be government level stuff. Now private organizations and entities can do it. It's trivial. We, as a society, just don't get the implications.
People like Christman shouldn't even read the comments on their streams. It's much too easy to influence direction and thinking over time.
Left organizations should not do anything online except absolute necessities. Should not be having divisive wrecking arguments online ffs.
Delete Twitter. Seriously. The TLAs manipulate everything that happens in mainstream online spaces, they're doing wrecker shit to undermine left unity. I don't understand how IRL left orgs are so good when it comes to meat opsec but we're so universally incompetent online.
Not everyone is going to ever "delete Twitter" so you definitely should NOT delete Twitter and leave it to become a feedback loop of anti-communism fueled by wreckers. Refute arguments but don't do petty stuff.
Very weird. There are a lot of people, including people I was already following for quite some time, defending the segregation comments.. I can't tell what is going on here at all
Online leftists are just as fucking stupid as anyone else and will defend those in the in group beyond it making any fucking sense.
Especially teenagers as what happened with Molly Conger being accused of letting the Tree of Life shooting happen.
Comrade, be absolutely disgusted with those who post such fascist, reactionary content under the guise of leftism. It is quite the phenomenon, and you should have this experience seared into your memory. Twitter leftists have been sliding into a reactionary ideology for some time now, make sure you guard yourself against such thought-crimes if you continue to read their feeds.
It seems like some people heard the girl he posted about got harassed and just got too mad? Like there's one person who is weaponizing 'having read theory' ..... and like, while I haven't read through Kapital yet, I feel pretty confident Marx wouldn't be supportive of segregated societies lol
I have no clue who this person is and I can not understand anything about that thread.
Also is receiving a bunch of death threats because someone dunked on you online a common thing? I see people saying they are receiving death threats on these twitter drama threads and I've participated in a lot of online shit flinging but I've never received death threats. Well, to be fair there was a weird reddit account that kept telling me to delete something I posted about them OR ELSE, and then kept stalking me around on reddit disliking every comment I made and "exposing" me. After some time they got bored, and like a week later they sent me a message begging me to go tell someone else they were having an online fight with how they "destroyed" my life. It was really weird and funny but not really a death threat. Have people experienced something like that?
