"We dont kill lesbians, but we certainly dehumanize them just the same! Canada! dontaskwhathappenedtothenatives!"
This picture is amazing because it sums up the problems I've had discussing LGBT issues with cishet allies in ways that I have difficulty articulating.
Yeah the amount of times I've heard similar arguments and "jokes" to this picture is actually baffling.
Literal high school "I can't hate LGBT people because I watch lesbian porn" logic. Wtf is even happening here
Fetishising a minority is no different than supporting them, no questions please
Bury them in your backyard and a battery tree will grow if you water them. No more questions
In Canada, we treat you differently if you make us horny.
This is totally different from Saudi Arabia. OUR haram fantasies are extremely liberal and good.
In Canada gamers are considered epic!
In Saudi Arabia if you’re a gamer YOU DIE!
brb moving to Saudi Arabia so I don't have to see this shit anymore.
I mean the actual answer is that Alberta oil is dogshit, especially oil sands oil which is loaded with contaminants and difficult to extract. The oil sands are only profitable if prices are over 100 bucks a barrel which is basically never happening again. No amount of pipelines or refineries will make it 2012 again.
Spot on. Alberta has had so much time to put their economic eggs in other baskets but they just double down on oil instead. Then unironically support wexit. Albertan rig culture is fucking cringe
alberta's oil obsession is so strange. jason kenney, the premiere, has a "war room" where they tell the "truth about oil" whatever that means. for a province that tries so hard to pretend to be texas, they really go out of their way to avoid renewable resources. texas produces enough solar and wind energy that if it were a country it would produce somewhere in the top 5 for both solar and wind. but nooooo no renewables here! just go back to fuckin OILSANDS DUDE thats the future
its so fucking frustrating living here
It's still going on, and it's also a giant grift.
