I used to be somewhat indifferent to the Jurassic Park movies sticking to scaly theropods since the new ones are so dogshit, but I've grown to realize that big colorful feathery boys would be much more interesting to look at. So many creative possibilities.
The CGI woulda been hard in the 90s but if they did it now they'd look dope with feathers
Oh I don't mind the original at all, and by 3 they were trying some feathers on the large raptors. It's the new series that bugs me most because they went backwards to the reptilian fake velociraptors.
Could be misremembering but I think they acknowledge the lack of feathers in a scene where they explain the dinosaurs look like that because of the frog DNA they had to use to fill in gaps or whatever-the-fuck I dunno
In kinder my teacher said I was silly for drawing my dinosaurs pink. That stuck with me and I felt like I fool. Now with this I feel vindicated, my flamingo dinosaurs could have happened. Suck it Mrs. Suize.
damn you remember the surnames of you kindergarten teachers?
Only the one's that I bear a grudge against. She also called me the r word so that stuck a bit more.
Having just spent a few days in rural australia and been within 5 kilometres of some cockatoos, I can confirm that birds are dinosaurs
They look cooler this way imo. How strong is the evidence for feathered dinos out of curiosity?
i think it's the sceintific consensus that most dinos were fethered at a stage of their life. ie i think trexes were only feathered as cubs. i dont think big tropical dinos like diplodocuses were feathered. most smalls ones? no problem. i have a nice vid about polar dinos i can show you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ier8c9WFzE
also, many sinapsids (mammal like reptiles) might have had fur. https://i.imgur.com/SctG41N.png https://i.imgur.com/Se79CLz.png
btw, check out julio lacerda! my favourite paleoartist.
oh sure archaeopteryx is cool but you should look at all the other fluffy dino friends we have.
I like this one:

Only if they look rad and cool, I've seen life reconstructions of the T-Rex that look like a big fat turkey which made my inner 7-year-old want to commit seppuku
