You need to find a better environment if you want to stay sober.
I'm not saying cut your mom off or anything, but you can't be surrounded by that and expect not to have problems.
I'm sorry to hear that - and I'm probably the worst crisis counselor you could wish for... But there's no good reason not to quit again tomorrow, right? Hang in there and just try to make it through this. :heart-sickle:
It's tough for a lot of people right now, and there's no shame in that. It's by design. Never forget you deserve a better world, and take care.
We must be as radical as the world to change it. Every day is a razorblade for someone out there. Dare to be brave, get up in the morning, and make the most of it.
Much luck, love, and solidarity your way.
Can it be voluntary? My grandma is full on "nationalize it all and fuck the rich", I want to keep her.
It's more "let's design society so that if your parents are the worst, you don't have to depend on them to live until you are 18 years old. Maybe it's a bad idea for some random person have complete control over every aspect of your life, just because they gave birth to you" vibes. I'm sure your grandma is great. You should keep hanging out with her, if you want.
yeah you should quit and dump that shit right now you're either going to go on a bender or hate yourself just that much more tomorrow/later. it's just going to make things worse for you so cut it out
We're here for you. Let us know if you need anything.
No shame in a relapse.
hey bud just wanted to say, dont feel bad or guilty, it's about the journey not whatever step you happen to be on at this exact moment, even if it's a shitty one. My partner struggled with alcohol/pills for a decade before getting sober and almost to the day of her first year anniversary of being sober she caved and took a shit ton of diphenhydramine to get messed up, she was pretty broken up about it at the time cuz she was really wanting to get her 1 years token but it's been another year and a half since and she's doing better.
stay safe and I hope your home life calms down soon. solidarity :heart-sickle:
