    Still gets me that they were part of the consortium that developed usb c, and implemented it in all of their notebooks to an extent more than anyone else. But their phone? Nope. Still proprietary.

    I know the future isn't so bright, but at least I can charge my phone on my laptop charger now!

          The USB-C standard actually supports super high amperage charging, so we're almost back to barrel plug levels of energy!

              Can't get it backwards either. Fucking insane that no one thought about that sooner.

              There was the short fat of unshielded USB connectors with contacts on both sides, but I guess that turned out to be a bad idea because of liquid or something.

                I think USB-C cables are more expensive because you know... more wires. But they can do more at least.
