Got to exercise, got to cook some good food, and Ms. PigPoopBalls is gonna be here to move in soon. What good things have happened to you today, comrades?

100% grillpilled over here. Been smoking a pork shoulder for hours. Sipping on dry italian reds and dry american pilsners. Wife wearing a little summer dress and being hot. Daughter playing videogames with friends. Heart is full of joy. It's the simple things.

      You're damn right comrade :)

It's so easy to get discouraged when learning something new, especially an artform, and I'm super proud of you for working at it and for having such an optimistic outlook! When you feel comfortable sharing your art I'd love to see it!

Late last night, technically today, I had a very good and productive conversation with a very sweet guy

Today, I watched zootopia with a discord server while riffing on it the whole time, which was pretty fun.

Finally cleaned the 240 cubic feet of garbage(after a lot of flattening and smashing) from my garage into a big dumpster (was mostly cardboard and other things I've hoarded to "use in projects") so hey! Maybe I can actually start building shit again :D

I haven't built anything for a long time now because this last winter we had to park a car in one side of the garage, so when the older smaller pile of junk was moved over it basically buried my workshop, and it only grew from there so I've had to climb to my workbench, so I essentially couldn't if I wanted to.

Stuff I built in the past: My bigass workbench, wooden book, clipboards, can crusher, key organizer (5 roommates lol), and all sorts of other stuff including a small pavilion with benches on my old campus

My list of projects to start on soon includes: chess set (with glow in the dark infused epoxy pieces and accents, a lathe, spice racks of all varieties for my kitchen, a new bigger rolly island for my kitchen, another wooden journal (gift), want to try making wooden jewlery like rings and bracelets to see if I can, and tons of other things from a list I've been adding to impotently while I was unable to build anything lol

Um. He's 1 1/2 so he likes to pretend he's using a machete like I do to cut the grass he likes to use the ax like I do to pretend to chop wood. He basically just runs around pretending to do the stuff I do. Oh, and he likes reading books with me.

My wife works days so I work night shift so we can I can be with him while he works. Crazy fucked capitalist work schedule, but he's so amazing I look forward to each day.

I got a girl's number but I don't know if really want to do anything 'cause Corona and also I'm kinda boring. Idk how I got her number lol. I had a sprain in my shoulder that is finally healed up so I can finally start exercising again. Still been kinda lazy just posting online and gaming a bunch though.

I have a $50 dollar store charcoal grill and I piled the charcoal to one side and put hickory wood chips that were soaked in water right over the charcoal. The meat was placed on the opposite side of the grill so it cooked over indirect heat and I added more charcoal and wood chips over a 2 hour period as needed. I couldn't control the temp that easily but everyone liked the end result so I guess it was a success.

Today was my cheat day so I ate a lot of fast food and napped for four hours. I also finished reading Blackest Night by DC, and I have to say, it sucks ass.

Metabolizing like a nuclear submarine is a necessary prerequisite to this strategy, but beats the hell out of not eating enough as I previously did

No on both counts, unfortunately. I've been the ugly one in literally every relationship I've been in and have a relatively weak chest. It's okay though, I continue to grow stronger until I can bench press cars like great Siberian bear!

If you can't be handsome at least be handy. Jump a dead battery and no one gives a shit what you look like.

If the sole metric of attraction is number of times I've jumped a car, I may as well be Kit Harington lmao. Both my ex-boyfriend's car and current girlfriend's car have the worst goddamn batteries on the planet.

Yeah the monkey part of my brain wants you to mate with me so we have strong kids. And I can jump a car myself!

Oh hell yeah my monke brain sees boy or girl pick up big thing and say "yes very good will make strong parent," even though I don't want kids. Hell, lady PigPoopBalls and I met at a gym and she is quite literally capable of hoisting me over her head

Weekend hiking. Took a little two mile loop trail and it was some of the steepest stuff I've done in a while. Pretty views tho

Love to forget I posted for like six hours
Anyway, it's mostly forests and hills where I actually live, but I'm within a couple hours of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which is where I was at today. It's always ~15°F cooler up there and the trails are generally pretty shady. There's a ton of different parks up there, and most of them go up to whatever the nearest peak is for a view at the top. Pretty small as mountains go, but it's as good as it gets in the east US.
Of course, it's also pretty crowded depending on when you go. I've been trying to avoid the most popular places, but even that's kinda risky. A lot better on weekdays if you can.
