And either way in dense cities cars won't get you exactly where you want either because it is impossible to park close to where you want to go.

There's no reason to make that buses, buses aren't better just because they are buses, they are because they carry lots of people. If you want to make a door to door system, it's not efficient to have a bus with 1 person inside, better just make it a car.
