I'm so grateful to the engagement with the sources yesterday, you're all awesome!
In part one, the pieces were more identity focused, today I'm posting for specific facets of fatphobia that may be of interest.
As a reminder, these fall in the area of Fat Studies and there's some norms you should be aware of:
- "fat" is taken as a neutral descriptor, think of it as reclaiming the word.
- "obese" arbitrarily medicalises fatness and Others fat people

I missed yesterday's one but think this is cool. These no doubt either being out reactionaries here or at least reactionary thoughts out of our comrades. Last when this was brought up my contributions to it were my own personal experiences growing up fat. I did this in the hope of building a human connection by being vulnerable. If needed I'll see about trying to link my thought again, provided I can find them btw, but thanks for these links. Well go over them later on computer. Keep up the good work :fidel-salute:
Yep, people on the left do not get a free-pass from fatphobia, ableism etc. We need to systemically root out all of our biases for true liberation
