I used to think human rights were unconditional, but then someone told me that Palestinians are actually homophobic, so as any rational person capable of critical thinking and nuanced thought would do, I abandoned all of my values and pivoted to support for apartheid.

They made an excellent point, namely that I should support the murder and displacement of homophobes, which is why I propose the following.

Every queer person in North America will come together and form a milita. I'll assume George Soros will pay for everything. For your first mission, you'll take over the state of Florida. I have it on good authority from Conservatives that the US military has gone woke, so I expect them to cooperate with you.

To any Floridians reading this, you have 24 hours to leave before you are crushed under the high heels of the Pink Army. You brought this on yourself by voting for Ron Desantis. Do not resist. Bigots deserve bombs. Anyone who is opposed to this is a homophobe who supports Hamas and is literally worse than Hitler.

QUEER PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO DEFEND THEMSELVES!

Do they think the entirety of Iranian women, Chinese Uyghurs, or literally anyone else they want to “free” are secular liberals lol. These people want me to shake hands with Nazis in congress but get mad because I’m not okay with bombing random people because they might be homophonic?

yes liberals are always surprised when people aren't secular liberals as they are just used to expecting it from everyone

as socialists we are used to the idea of our opinions being controversial, so are fascists. Liberalism is the ruling ideology and liberals are just used to everyone agreeing with them

I also learned recently that if a country's government doesn't explicitly support LGBTQ rights that means all the people in that country also don't support it. No country ever changes over time and nobody anywhere is struggling for liberation. This means we don't need to support their struggle because they aren't struggling! flowey-smug

Also we forget that in England in the 1970s women were expected to wear headscarfs outside. These are very recent changes in our society. Like how Hong Kong spent a total of 6 months as a democracy before being handed over to China

Now come on, we need to wait for further context. Some queer people are just really into being dominated and humiliated. How do you know the IDF won't stop the second the Palestinians utter their safeword?

The safeword in question is the Hatikvah, followed by a 4096-bit RSA key in hexadecimal, followed by the Hatikvah again, and one must utter it in person to an IDF soldier in Gaza in one sitting uninterrupted with no mistakes.

Reminds me of the start of Ukraine, when NAFO losers were touting the based trans troops of the US against the evil homophobic russians, only thing I could think of was 'how the fuck do you think trans people are generally treated here?? Have you read anything about terf island, your based NATO ally??'

The joys of homonationalism - unfortunate name tbh - a cornerstone of western supremacist liberals and fascists since at least Pim Fortuyn's electoral campaign in the 2002 Dutch elections.

Also TIL he was one of those new left clowns that became a renegade in the late 80s.

A lot of the people that hold these positions are also the people that write articles along the lines of

"I met with gay rights activists in country-where-being-gay-has-the-death-penalty to show how little I a London based journalist fear reprisals here are their names and addresses"

If these people get attacked, the journalist views it as a q.e.d. of what they just wrote and it just further legitimizes "and here's why we must intervene"

This is true, but compared to the rest of the middle East they're still far ahead. Sexual activity with the same sex is legal and discrimination based on sexual orientation is illegal.

Although same-sex marriages are not performed in the country (as it does not have civil non-religious marriages), Israel recognizes same-sex marriages performed elsewhere.

To me, I don't consider that legal. Legal under this weird technicality.

They also ban interfaith marriage within the country but recognize them from abroad lol

Also, when I googled interfaith marriage in Israel the third result was an op-ed from Israel's former deputy communications director, saying outside interfaith marriages are a "grave threat to the future of the Jewish people" yea

Also it means you're only allowed to have a same-sex or interfaith marriage if you can return after leaving the country, making them effectively illegal for Palestinians.

assuming a standard rate of 10% of the population being lgbt and 1% being trans, the IDF is currently conducting a terror campaign on 200,000 lgbt people, which includes 20,000 trans people, in the Gaza strip. Sounds like their record on LGBT rights is so good!

Liberals are always surprised by the outcome when they create false scarcity in a community and then crush any left opposition that offers a non-reactionary explanation for why people are suffering.
