You'll know the consent's been manufactured when my dad starts saying that Biden has done more for the working class than any president in US history. Sometime next week for sure, stay tuned.

According to calculations by Marc Goldwein, senior policy director for the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a Massachusetts family of four that had an income of about $53,000 before the pandemic and has one parent unemployed stands to receive more than $22,000 from this package. That’s in addition to the unemployment assistance and child tax credit the family would be eligible for without the pandemic. In total, this family of four is set to have received more than $50,000 from the relief bills Congress has passed since the crisis began, a large amount that more than replaces the family’s lost income during the crisis.

This can't be right, can it?

Jeff Stein shared a graph saying that cumulatively a family of four which lost 1 income would have gotten like $65k over the past year in assistance.

It's kind of a high end estimate IMO, because if you had 1 unemployed parent for that whole year - you probably wouldn't need to have $8,000 in childcare expenses waived.

    Y'know, I saw a tweet somewhere that claimed 1400 is worth a month's worth of $15/hr.

I did the math myself. Assuming a five day work week with 8 hour workdays, it only comes up to $8.75.

Also, Biden still owes me six benjamins.
