That’s in addition to the unemployment assistance and child tax credit the family would be eligible for without the pandemic. In total, this family of four is set to have received more than $50,000 from the relief bills Congress has passed since the crisis began, a large amount that more than replaces the family’s lost income during the crisis.

It's kind of a high end estimate IMO, because if you had 1 unemployed parent for that whole year - you probably wouldn't need to have $8,000 in childcare expenses waived.

I did the math myself. Assuming a five day work week with 8 hour workdays, it only comes up to $8.75.
