The funny thing is for all your spleen venting John Oliver has undoubtedly done more to advance the goals of the American left than you ever have. He has introduced basic left wing talking points about race, the economy, history, societal structures and the deep systemic flaws within and made them palatable and easy to understand for the average American citizen (amazingly the average American is not a Twitter Bolshevik).
I actually credit John Oliver with helping me become more left. Because of his videos on the subject I wanted to learn more left wing things and I discovered Lindsay Ellis, then Shaun, then from Shaun Contrapoints and from her Three Arrows and then philosophy tube and Some More News, renegade cut. All because a funny comedian met me where I was at and got me interested in politics.

If you actually want leftist goals to succeed you have to convince the average person to adopt leftist beliefs and that means conversing with them on their level.

Little did they know that under Crapitalism that anything that's a niche counter-culture trend becomes subsumed and reproduced as a commodity - robbed of any ideological value that it may or may not have had. As seen from Goths to Guevara, Capitalism turns anything cool into corporate plastic to be sold on Amazon.
Something about the depersonalisation of the the internet makes no one have conversations in good faith. I've had in person conversations when doing stalls and stuff and it's night and day the difference it makes with people taking each other seriously and actually listening.

I'll give PhilosophyTube a pass as well, she seems to be more radical than you'd notice at first glance. She still tries to meet libs where they're at, but there's some dogwhistles hidden in most of her recent videos and she's the only big youtuber who cites Marx and Engels as sources in her vids. She does good work, even when the thespian aesthetics aren't for everybody on this site. For people on here, comrades like Hakim or Yugopnik will obviously be more insightful, but if i had to pick somebody leading people into a lib to left pipeline, Abigail would be among my top choices.
But apart from her and Shaun, yeah, that's an incredibly libby selection even by breadtube standards. That entire post is basically confirmation of the social fascism theory. "You are validating right wing narratives by being a communist" 100% equals caving in to nazi demands, allowing them to drive a wedge between us, it is the exact attitude that resulted in Rosa getting murdered and thrown in the Landwehr canal. It is, in consequence, a form of collaborating with fascists.

While good for introducing people to some leftist issues bread tube fails to send people further down the pipe.
