They're not ironic and people do take them seriously as film reviewers, when they're the most basic nitpickers imaginable and provide no actual review, never mind critique.

I always thought CS was ironic and the pedantic “flaws” of a movie were just jokes and not actual critique. Do people actually take it seriously?
