Hyperfixating on what cannabis does to NDs while lying in grass is fun. I still have more research to do, but it seems like it can relieve some negative autism symptoms, but also possibly further (than adhd) mess up dopamine receptors and induce psychosis. I need to test things on myself idk. What your experiences?

I prefered other drugs tbh, weed was fine but I felt heavy on it, didn't really do much for me.

Pot is fun when Im on my own, but around other people it turns my social anxiety up to 11. Part of that is dosage moderation. Im fairly sensitive to weed, so with all of the 25%+ flower out there I just can never tell if a single hit from a friends j will fuck me up or smooth me out. Growing up it was puff puff pass, now its puff puff pass-the-fuck-out. A friend had a vape pen with a specific strain in it or somethig, and one small hit from that actually got me high in a way where I could interact better with other people, but in general it just makes my anxiety worse.

i personally feel like weed makes me more autistic lol. it definitely helps with stress and sleep though which is nice, as well as allowing me to focus better on an activity rather than feeling listless and bouncing around. i've been a stoner on and off for like 10 years now, but currently trying to quit for an extended period mostly for financial reasons:(

Can you explain what symptoms its supposed to relieve, and is that while high or after? The big thing I notice after is I'm in a much better mood the next day. I guess I also don't really "track" my autism symptoms too much?

All the little things that make my brain tick while sober, so much better. Textures, food, music, stimming, they all feel even better. I don't know how much of that is weed and how much is autism but it feels like they gel well together for me.

Cannabis and cannabinoids have very promising effects in the treatment of autistic symptoms and can be used in the future as an important therapeutic alternative to relieve those symptoms, especially bouts of self-mutilation and anger, hyperactivity, sleep problems, anxiety, restlessness, psychomotor agitation, irritability, and aggressiveness; as well as improve sensory sensitivity, cognition, attention, social interaction, language, perseverance, and depression.

lol maybe that’s why it’s not your thing. I have no aggression either, but I basically have all the other symptoms - which are associated with ADHD, same thing theory? Comorbidity? Idk. Still have more to look into on that side of things.

Yeah it's more than likely why cannabis didn't do much. My brain wiring negates cocaine and caffeine too but I did enjoy some other drugs I have dabbled with. I did have hyperactivity when I was young at least that's what I was told but don't have it now. There's a wide swath of comorbidity for sure.

Caffeine doesn’t work normally on me either. Curious what cocaine would do tho I can’t see myself trying it in the foreseeable future.

I've dabbled with a lot and some would be great others not so much, depends really on how your brain works.

It looks like they are mostly talking about CBD or high CBD/low THC levels, which isn't what I'm using (probably just inserting myself into something I shouldn't, oops). I do think CBD is a good option to look into, no risk (afaik), and if you think it would help I would definitely recommend getting some. I don't think there are any age restrictions either. Looking at this link I want to try it too.

I definitely get some of those benefits from delta 8, during and in the days after. Being able to get those benefits with something non psychoactive would be really nice.

ADHD correlates with high dopamine transmitters and low dopamine. Being a stoner correlates with low dopamine transmitters and low dopamine. :/
