There are lots of reasons, but I think I'll be wearing them for a while after it's eventually "safe" to stop. It's kind of nice having my face obscured.

Does anyone else feel this way?

In Japan some people wear masks in public just for the sense of privacy, or in the case of some women, so they don't need to bother with makeup as much.

I kinda wish wearing masks would also catch on in the West even after Covid, would probably help lessen influenza and even regular flu cases. I don't think we give enough of a shit about our fellow man though

This has been my secret (in China) for years!

For the dudes out there, having had a year's worth of experience with masks, I can confirm this trick also works when you can't be bothered to shave

Look at how hard they're still fighting not to wear a mask during a pandemic, forget about fighting off cold and flu season lol

For four straight years in a row, I got sick as a dog around every New Year, ruining the holidays for me. This year broke the streak, haven't even gotten a cold in all this time.

Not really. However, I'm glad it'll be normalized enough now in the west to wear one when I'm sick in the future or during flue season. It is a norm in parts of Asia that we should have adopted a long time ago.

I'd feel naked without at at this point. The other day I stepped out of my car without it and I had a mini-freakout and rushed back in to grab it.

I hate wearing mine but I think my paranoia will out weigh my hatred and I'll wear one as long as I can get away with it.

My wife finally got to understand what it feels like when you have a beard in winter and then shave it because of masks so that's neat

It helps if you wear masks that have a little elastic band above the nose.

I pinch it around my nose and it keeps my glasses from fogging up.

I haven't had much problems with fogging since it got warmer and i could get some FFP2 (n95-equivalent) masks that seal better than the cloth ones. My main problem with masks and my glasses now is that my glasses either slide down the mask all the time and i risk dropping them on the ground or that i have to tuck the pads behind the nose bridge, which means the glasses are so close to my face that they get smudged super fast and that fogging becomes an issue again.

I have to wear mine as far down my nose as I can or else I'm walking through clouds of my own making.
