Every Democrat has been since Eisenhower. They just always abandon it once they get power.

There are no forces pulling her left. She is not dependant on the active support of the working class to keep her seat. There are no rank and file party members that can recall her, or who have to select her as the candidate. There is no viable leftist competitor on the ballot. As long as someone doesn't mount a successful primary campaign against her, she is safe in her seat.
On the other hand the entire democratic party, the bourgeois media and the elevated position of being a member of Congress itself pulls her to the right.
Would be funny if she got primaried by someone to the left of her.

I feel like she always kind of was. The same interview where she said reading theory was classist also had her defending Obama, saying that the voters let him down and that's why he did what he did. There's a lot of libs who flirt with the aesthetic and slogans of leftism without actually doing anything about it. Remember when Grimes also claimed to be against imperialism before dating Elon Musk? It's the same as "leftists" in the US claiming to be against US imperialism while also caping for it whenever China or Russia are brought up.

I mean she's not wrong if you were like me and had basically rock bottom expectations. However this is absolutely not something I want to be hearing from a supposed leftist in congress. So many issues he has been bad on that she needs to keep showing there is an alternative
