    "Nonpolitical" consoomers assume that there's some "normal" that is the default state of being and that "normal" is a cishet white man and his helpmeet waifu.

          Yeah, she's been interpreted by many fans to be trans. I haven't seen the movies, but apparently many of her character's themes resonate a lot with trans people. There's a shot of her dad's jacket that shows that it has a trans pride flag patch stitched on it. It seems pretty likely that she's meant to be trans but it just isn't said explicitly.

    One of my favorite things to do is go in the chat of whatever game I'm playing and confidently proclaim that a bunch of the characters are gay. Fun stuff.

      I'm not homophobic or w/e but the idea that a supporting character whose love life is never examined in this franchise that I like might quietly be queer DEMANDS A RESPONSE!
