Seems like it's probably a chud show. Should I give into peer pressure and watch it?

Edit: Thanks to your comments I have come to the conclusion that I should watch it.

It's a fair question, nobody wants to get invested in a show and then episode 7 is like "o hey ya yer one a dem an-teefer muslim gays aintcha?"

It’s not a chud show. There isn’t a whole lot of political dialogue, but when there is it’s fairly lib/progressive leaning. Just watch it it’s funny.

McMurray making a dramatic pause before describing his view of what constitutes being a "degen" was an amazing bit and it is 100% targeted at folks like OP (and myself).

It's not a chud show but the humour is all aimed squarely at rural Canadians. There's a few commenters here saying they don't get it, and I'm not surprised. There's probably some appeal in perceiving the characters as ridiculous and comical, but you'd laugh harder if you personally knew a whole bunch of people exactly like them.

If you come from the rural US, there's plenty to appreciates about it, even if you don't get all the Canadian stuff.

Not a Chud show at all. It's about rural hicks and the main characters have good work ethic, so I can see why chuds like it and think "that's me." But it's completely enjoyable as a leftist.

It is not a CHUD show. I would characterize it as probably mostly Canadian Liberal. A character takes Women's Studies courses just because, and they beat up Homophobes, polluters, and a Far Right guy that thinks since they are rural they would have conservative politics. But there is a vaguely pro troop episode and a lot of "Canada is so nice and accepting, we are so better than the Americans" floating around. So to sum up, I think that its politics can be described as Shit-Lib with rural characteristics. I think it is a good show, most of the humor is from quirky dialog and puns.

Sounds like something a chud would say.

It's not chud and there's an episode in like season 4 or 5 that makes that unmistakably clear.

It's a very good show and you will probably enjoy it. It does not have chud politics at all. Certainly isn't perfect, but it's not a chud show.

I don't think so. Their portrayal of Indigenous people isn't exactly flattering, but they are always depicted as equals to the main characters, who always treat them as such.

All the chuds at my old job loved it, the clips they showed me sure gave off chud vibes. I've never watched an episode tho.

Ask them what they thought of the character Hard Right Jay.
