Rather predictably another viral mob came after me, this time for the sin of apologising. Then followed libellous articles calling me “right-wing” and such. Though there’s nothing wrong with being conservative, when forced to politically label myself I flutter between “centrist”, “liberal” or the more honest “bit this, bit that”. Being labeled erroneously just goes to show how binary political discourse has become. I had criticised the “Left”, so I must be the “Right”, or so their logic goes.

I am willing to entertain the notion that he is being sincere and is not actually a hardcore right-winger, but in that cause he is also a smoothbrained dipshit with an absolute dogshit terrible understanding of politics.

Oh and furthermore, labeling yourself "bit this, bit that" only means that you have not taken the time to properly reflect upon your own politics. It means that you spontaneously judge issues when they appear by your gut-feeling, instead of having a coherent set of guiding principles pointing towards a specific goal by which to inform your opinions. This is why you see so many people who hold contradictory opinions, they haven't taken the time to develop this consistent set of base principles.

Tell me you're a cowardly Conservative without saying you're a Conservative

Oh no how will they find another person to play the same 3 extremely harmonically functional folk chord progressions?

This is awesome because there are 100,000 more talented banjo players that deserve that spot. I was always baffled by his lack of… uh… musicality… Like, he plays the banjo like a rhythm guitar player, which would be fine — if the lead singer wasn’t already playing rhythm guitar. And fulfilling the role better than the banjo-er.

-Fuck him for showing any kind of attention to Mr. Milkshake. He’s got a big following and I don’t buy the whole “oh, I just like reading books and tweeting about it…” He tries to come across as an innocent bystander. Fuck him, he knew good well what he was doing.

(Btw, being a barely competent musician is no reason to denigrate a lad. But being a concern trolling hack is inexcusable.)

(btw^2; the musician with the most Grammy’s [period] but also the most in the amount of genres, is a banjo-man. This post is banjo-positive.)

You can go into any small college town and find a folk artist more competent playing at the local coffee shop.

My brother does and i can already hear him bringing it up to cuss the evil commulists even though the guy quitting his shitty band has absolutely zero implications to any of our lives.

Well, he's almost right about one thing. If you're not a communist, odds are good you'll join the fascists when the time comes.
