This is why I, a cisgender millennial with general anxiety disorder, believe in assassinating leftist leaders in the global south, lest MARXISM further oppress my fellow persons with disabilities in those locales

Many of those brocialists in the global south oppose women’s rights, lgbtq rights, and even use a phallic symbol to portray their radical misogyny ✏️

That recent news story about an employer being allowed to continue giving electric shocks to neurodivergent and disabled staff would disagree. Also disabled people in the US being forbidden from having more than $2k in total wealth at any time.

We wouldn’t want to give them a free handout, sweatie. I have to pay for my healthcare and my HBO and New York Times subscription. If they have money then they can afford healthcare!

:brainworms: When you take into consideration the ability of each person and only expect of them what they are capable of, that is ableism.

Wheelchair access ramps are ableist because they treat wheelchair users differently

I'm going to make a competing Bad Faith podcast that takes every bad faith argument and determines what the chances are that it's an op. This one gets 9.5/10. :virgil-sad:

You see sweetie, disabled is a slur. The correct term is differently abled which means they are still abled and that society should demand exactly the same from them as from able-bodied persons.

    Everything else is ableism.

Disabled is the correct word. It can refer to a broad spectrum of things both apparent and invisible, whereas handicapped implies a specific type of disability.

Differently abled, handicapable, etc. are infantalizing and insulting
