I adopted a Cuban orphan. When I brought them home they immediately went out into the yard and began gnawing on a tree. I asked "what are you doing?" and the child said "Where I come from, we have no food. We have only trees. We eat as the beavers do." He refused to eat people food and would only sleep in the yard because they did not have buildings and slept as the beavers do.

I kept telling him, "this is America. You're free now. You don't have to do as the beavers do." One day he ran off screaming "I must make scent mounds!". That was 13 years ago and I presume he died in the snow.

Please return him to me. I miss Gustavo very much. Lay down some oak pellets surrounded by foothold traps. Cubans are nocturnal and you will find him in the morning.

13 years ago? Pretty sure he ended up as Matt Gaetz's large adult helper son

There's no cheese because they made all the cheese factories into condom factories to keep up with the incredible amounts of sex they are having.

I thought fidel banned sexual relations when he took power in 1496

It is much worse, Fidel stole all the sex from American right-wingers and had it himself instead.

Lol we ate the best fruit of our lives in Cuba, to the point of my wife dreaming of staying at the rural casa particular on a farm again just so she can have meal after meal of their delicious fruit. why would they import fruit like apples that don't store well in the heat and would require massive refrigeration when there is an abundance of local options?

also I ate an unhealthy amount of pizza while in Havana which certainly had cheese. Line was out the door every night with locals.

Cuba has a lot of like super nice restaurants btw, like if anyone has a chance for Havana enjoy the world class dining.

Prices are sometimes different for tourists and locals, but I think that's good

And there are many restaurants outside of Cuba that attempt to mimick the flavors you'd find there. One of the most high end places around me that I know of is Cuban, they even named it after Havana. Cuba is fairly well known for their cuisine in many parts of the world, that tweet was ridiculous

The apple thing is so crazy. Like, even if we assume that's true, if you took me to another country and showed me some random ass fruit that doesn't grow in the US, id probably say the same thing. Different countries grow different fruits. That's basic shit.
