:thonk: “i wonder why so many racists are protesting with me? Hmmm…”
Yeah I back the protests. The anti-embargo protests. :screm-cool:
How hard would it be for them to just do exactly that?
"Nooooo. She's one of the good ones. You tankies are purity testing. What do you mean by being anti imperialist? She said embargo bad okay. That's enough."
:capitalist-woke: “make cuba a slave state again, but lift the blockade
so we can trade slavesbring economic opportunity.”:kombucha-disgust: ”what the fuck”
:wojak-nooo: ”NOTHING IS GOOD ENOUGH 4 U PURITY TESTIES”
Support the color revolution but be aware of the color revolution.
At this point if we haven't reached the conclusion that the Western world needs to be destroyed, then we are truly lost
The imperial core is a landlord and needs to be treated like one.
:mao-aggro-shining:
Foolish tankies! There is no need to understand a situation before having a take. Merely apply the same leftist aesthetic to breathless Western reporting as usual, write up a condescending article, and you've done your job!
“Protesting something means you’re the good guy”
….
“look at this tankie being authoritarian to a protestor!”
:fash-bash:
A lot of western leftist groups have been captured by the CIA and are now funded by them. If an old org is posting cringe, they probably used to be a threat to Uncle Sam.
I find that to be really grim and dystopian, like a forced lobotomy
Wouldn't be too surprised if the Cliffite Trots and third campists were.
Movements and organizations Cliffite Trots (like the recently dissolved ISO) showed solidarity with (at least initially):
- The “mujahideen” in Afghanistan against the socialist government and the Soviet Union
- The “Velvet Revolution” in Czechoslovakia which brought neoliberal capitalism to power
- The pro-Western “Orange Revolution” in Ukraine
- The pro-Western “Rose Revolution” in Georgia
- The 1991 overthrow of the USSR (trumpeting Boris Yeltsin)
- The Kosovo Liberation Army (a fascist force)
- The middle-class and pro-Western Green movement in Iran
- The Libyan rebels that championed NATO intervention
- The Free Syrian Army that champions NATO intervention
Movements and organizations Cliffite Trots refused to support, and attacked instead as “Stalinist”:
- The Cuban Revolution and the Communist Party of Cuba
- The United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez and the Bolivarian Revolution
- The Chinese Revolution and the Communist Party of China including during the Mao era
- North Korea, even during the Korean War
- The Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola
- The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia
Many orthodox Trots (particularly the ones in Latin America) tend to be generally anti-imperialist though.
They’ll have already moved on to the next manufactured color counter-revolution.
Doesn't matter, why do you care about Theory over Praxis and ~direct action~? Politics is in the streets, and that's where the people are.
love to argue that a 60 year blockade in a country is not the real reason that the conditions in said country are getting worsened but also say that i am against us imperialism
At this point anytime I hear the phrase "Left Opposition" my mind goes numb and any following information or arguments just bounce off me.
Basically yeah, anything described as a left opposition to a country targeted by US imperialism is either CIA or just irrelevant ultras who have no signficiant support.
irrelevant ultras who have no signficiant support.
You said “ultras” multiple times.
If the protest "succeed" in toppling the government, the only outcome can be US imperialism.
We know the result of that is too, look at Russia after the USSR, the break up of Yugoslavia, or any of the applications of shock doctrine in Latin America.
