a fun fact about the DSC: it started cuz someone on twitter was doing a DSA Canada bit and it spread enough that people not in on the bit were kinda interested this literal liberal zionist swooped in and started organizing it for real
He also tried defending this take by citing On Authority lmao
We already have a party for milquetoast semi left leaning libs, it's the NDP
"A revolution is certainly the most authoritarian thing there is; it is the act whereby one part of the population imposes its will upon the other part by means of rifles, bayonets and cannon — authoritarian means, if such there be at all; and if the victorious party does not want to have fought in vain, it must maintain this rule by means of the terror which its arms inspire in the reactionists" - Frederick Engels
so to that tweet I say :yes-chad: that's the point, lib
limited their replies to people they follow and still getting clowned on.
yeah fuck democracy. good, ok, what else ya got? we told people to look out for number one, and in less than 400 years, the europeans have genocided literally everyone else at least once, and created a system of economic production that is literally making the planet catch on fire like a '50s cartoon lemon car. :xi-plz:
Actually, its fine because the English have the Magna Carta how dare you accuse them of not being democratic.
Ending the dictatorship of the tiny bourgeois class and replacing it with a rule by the proletarian majority would simply be undemocratic if it isn't done through the electoral-parliamentarian bureaucracy controlled by the bourgeoisie.
Or even better: Just :vote: with my dollars if I don't like exploitation. Problem solved.
Sure you can achieve it through "democratic" means, but good luck not getting shit canned within a few years if you aren't planning on using any means necessary to quell the eventual shock doctrine headed your way. There's really no reason to be this historically illiterate if you're going to pump out takes to hundreds of people.
Sure you can achieve it through “democratic” means
Can you? I have a very hard time imagining the bourgeois media monopoly, the bourgeois parties and the bureaucracy of the bourgeois state would ever allow people to vote themselves into socialism. Look what they did to Corbyn and Sanders who just proposed mild succdem reforms.
thats basically how elections in all countries in latin america go, but the barrier is even higher in the us in many ways. its still necessary to build political power though as we build a socialist movement here. if you want to talk about any sort of revolution youd do well to learn from latin american countries and much stronger socialist movements there
He also tried defending this take by citing On Authority lmao
Did he delete this one? Doesn't work for me.
Aww he deleted it. Here's what he said in response to someone saying revolution is valid:
@d_ylan7 Engels said it himself.
“A revolution is certainly the most authoritarian thing there is; it is the act whereby one part of the population imposes its will upon the other part by means of rifles, bayonets and cannon”
This is an incredible take for Canadians, I'm taking this and will not be giving credit sorry not sorry
Dem soc posts literal dem soc core belief
Not sure whats surprising here
this pic from the replies is great though https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E732UDKXIAI3ThH?format=jpg&name=900x900
If you are willing to accept socialism achieved through revolutionary instead of democratic means
Like has been demonstrated repeatedly?
Heading down to Cuba to inform them of their disdain for democracy. Can you believe they resorted to such authoritarian tactics in their fight against Batista? Smh, they should've just voted harder.
