Not even a year in, goddamn. Feels like time is stretching out. Maybe before long we'll start seeing a few of those weeks where decades happen. :lenin-walenin:

He gets to do the fun part while he's not actually the president. He gets to be the Showman Trump with the big hat in the center ring as the Master of Ceremonies.

Oh yeah. So what’s the dem counter in 2024 to Trump potentially running again? Kamala is DOA; is Biden running again actually the best chance for the dems to win?

It makes sense from past experience. With Trump running again, the Dems/libs will try to run the same game plan that worked last time. So Trump will be the big bad guy to rally the Dem true believers around and probably a rehash of the "Vote Blue No Matter Who" with a sprinkling of "harm reduction" to bully those who are fed up with the electorialism and just want to check out or burn it all down.

My bold prediction, Biden's administration continues to drag its feet at best and completely shit the bed at worst at getting most of the truly progressive policies enacted that the campaign or advocates advertised while there is a majority of Dems in congress. They'll "fight" harder as soon as the Republicans take seats in 2022 midterms knowing that nothing they fight for will pass. Some positive policies will make it through before 2022, but it will be like sprinkles on a turd. They're there to try to make the bad thing look less bad instead of trying to just not have the bad thing.

With the pandemic moving into a new phase of "more transmissible" and "killing kids now" combined with the looming population of those suddenly without homes, I'm skeptical that a Dem will win in 2024. Any third party candidate might have traction as a "burn the place down out of spite" candidate. I'm not sure a Bernie or Bernie-crat run would get anywhere near the traction it had before, definitely not going to get as much critical leftist support as he did the last few times.

Biden or Harris might be the "best chance" in 2024 but any Republican who wins the primary will probably win the presidency.

It would be hilarious if :hillary-contempt: makes another failed bid for president, though.

Trump looked fully energized at his rally today

He got booed for suggesting people should get vaxxed.

          No doubt.

The GOP has been priming itself for a civil war since the 90s. There is zero chance Trump won't get ratfucked hard this time around.

I also like the MyPresident hashtag trending today with shit like "My president didn't do (insert ridiculous Trump thing), isn't he so great?"

Libs have one standard: if they're blue they're good

The senate is 50-50 and the dems have like a 5 seat advantage in the house. after 2022, strap in. The speaker will be a republican and the base hates Kamala more than Biden.

The future of the US is that every single president will be impeached at least once. The first president forced out of office will be someone who didn't really do anything bad yet, but the House and Senate are controlled by the opposing party.

Obama didn't get impeached. Trump likely would have avoided it if he'd just played ball with Chuck & Nancy. Impeachment is dumb and fruitless. The House will only do it if they've got literally nothing better.
