Elaine: Mr. Peterman, you can't leave...

Peterman: I've already left, Elaine! I'm in Palestine!

    Elaine: Palestine?

Peterman: You most likely know it as "Israel", but it'll always be Palestine to me. You there, on the motorbike! Sell me one of your melons!

This is how I'd dance id I'm ever forced to. So when you insult them, you're insulting me. Remember this.

Amen to that. So many people don't take the time to practice dance that the few people who can will totally own the party.

Yeah, Israeli's use a version of keffiyeh too, it's honestly a super useful type of scarf. Those assholes tend to go for olive drab "operator" colors for theirs though, which is why that one is so dark.

Because they're such versatile pieces of clothing (belt, shawl, scarf, mask, and like 8 types of hat) they're extremely common all over the middle east by different names. Basically any time you see an arab with some sort of cloth covering their head or neck it's going to be a keffiyeh (or shemagh, or ghutra (?), or whatever they're locally called).

Early zionist Jews that emmigrated to Palestine when it was under Ottoman and British control made an actual effort to integrate with the locals and started wearing keffiyahs too, so they still get used by Israelis even though they're not as popular as they were.

Sure the Germans committed genocide but the Soviets took a dead Nazi’s watch, so who can really say who the bad guy is?

Which is crazy considering American and British troops shipped entire rifles and shit across the ocean. A watch is basically nothing like damn let a mf take a watch.

Or stolen art, jewelry, valuables, etc. There were entire underground logistics networks set up dedicated to smuggling contraband loot out of europe.

yeah like, the reason there's such a big trade in Nazi memorbilia is because US troops love to loot. Like sexual violence, it's a practice that's inevitable in war unless strict penalties are instated for it.

I remember a reddit thread where they were all getting mad at a picture of a GI taking a captured SS Officer's watch, the bootlicking was unreal.

I remember hearing someone say the additional watches were compasses or something similar for artillery, but its been too long for me to remember anything about where I heard it.

It wasn't just any photograph that was allegedly doctored. It was this one.
