I don't know if I have the stomach to actually watch Beanie Man with my own eyes and I simply can't imagine how anyone can come away with this take unless you're on the side of the bad guys??? What the fuck

I made it through a few minutes and his argument is that communism = everyone wears the same clothes and is equal and squid game does the same but only one person survives, therefore communism bad. Also, communism no food and the players barely got any food. That's it. That's his big brain takeaway

In Komunist Korea authorities like to play a game where if you don't follow their commands to a tee you are executed.

I still remember that when George Floyd got murdered and there were white people like "you don't see us rioting in the streets whenever a white person gets killed by police". Like, damn. Maybe you should lol. Maybe they wouldn't do it as much.

The absolute pride in doing nothing when someone is murdered by police. :amerikkka-clap:

Is it conspiratorial to think he might be getting paid to say these kinds of things?

But does he get money to act dumb or is he just dumb and then thinktanks give him money.

Also he was a vlogger guy during occupy and it's depressing that occupy wallstreet did absolutely nothing.

Theres a great article out there chronicling his storied career of failing upward into massive success. He's definitely a dumbass who happened upon the right niche at the right time, and started saying the right things to get absorbed into the growing online right-wing propaganda machine.

Does it matter? The observable universe is the same anyway.

He gets money to say the line, and the more he says the line the more money he gets.

Now that he's figured out how to get paid to say the thing, slapping the feed bar as hard and fast as possible isn't dumb at all. It's a conditioned response that yields material benefits. He would be dumb if he said anything other than this.

he is getting paid by youtube ad revenue. He knows exactly the kinds of things to say to stoke up hogs and get attention. Is he getting paid by think tanks? Who knows, the effect is the same.

Yeah, the show where the North Korean defector was asked if things were better down south, and in response, she was silent.

Her foil, the South Korean fail-daughter run-away, never seems to get much mention in these Big Brain YouTube screeds. In particular, the conversation they have during the Marble Game, in which they are both forced to recon with the fact that they are in a competition to the death despite having immense potential for a happy future life outside of the prison, is completely forgotten.

Consider that the North Korean ex-pat is desperately fighting to save her brother from the brutality of the soulless bureaucratic orphanage system. Meanwhile, the fail-daughter run-away is straight up nihilistic and suicidal - demonstrating how she was born with everything and yet has nothing to live for.

You really need to put your blinders on in order to get a "Captialism Is Good Aktuly" vibe off this show.

Rather watch Tim Piss eat his beanie than watch him explain how Squid Game is a critique of Communism.

I mean yeah. This is what it was like in the gulags. Stalin has cameras (like he did in every house in the Soviet Union) and would tune in to watch.

"You can leave the prison at any time if you engage in collective action"

"This is Communism because it is a prison and Capitalism liberates you because :vote: sets you free"
