Remember the rules; in particular, this comm is for vegans only. Feel free to discuss anything from beans :bean: to your undying and eternal hatred for carnists. :frog-no-pretext:
:vegan-edge: Veganism isn't a diet, it's about animal liberation.
Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose

Smh just gotta eat more veggies to spite the 1984 mods, biting into garlic and jalapenos as we speak :panting:
I made tofu katsu on thursday and onigiri on friday! The onigiri was an okay first attempt, but the katsu was so good. I'm making it again tomorrow!
Hope y'all have had a good week:avoheart:

Oat milk has run out where I am :assad-pogger:
If you have a blender and oats, you can just make it yourself
Cooking every dish so you can eat at thanksgiving and suffering through horrible family time while everyone brings a lot of meat to ruin your meal :im-vegan:
Jesus, I just tried Tempeh for the first time and it's fucking awesome. I made a Beef Bourguignon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beef_bourguignon) except using Tempeh insteaf of morcels of beef corpse and it was so tasty.
fwiw this brand new account with edgy opinions was probably never going to be swayed, but all the points you presented were great
I'll soon be attempting this recipe (thanks to @Quimby for linking it), though I have no idea where to find these sugarcane sticks here. So if anyone thinks of an alternative that's nicer than a popsicle stick I'll take it. The author suggests carrots but I suspect they'll soften up too much during baking.
Also, I was worried about finding tofu skin but I went to a small Chinese grocery shop near my home and holy shit - not only did I find it, they have more vegan food choices there than at the much larger supermarkets in my areas. I even found vegan tofu+vegetables frozen dumplings.
Ooo looks good! There's a comment chain about what to use as a stick. Someone says lemon grass stick and the person that runs the channel also suggests lotus root. Idk if either of those will be easier to find haha
Just got this absolutely amazing dish from a Thai restaurant near me, but I think they kinda made it up themselves, so I don't have high hopes of being able to order it elsewhere, or necessarily recreate it on my own.
It's fried tofu, broccoli, bell peppers, cashews, and just, like, every herb they have. And just a little spicy.
Finally did, used a tofurkey patty and made probably the best sandwich I've eaten all year. Toasted bread, vegan cheese, and hummus in lieu of mayo :chefs-kiss:
that feeling you get when your family feels guilty for eating meat around you, so they force themselves to eat less meat... oh yeah. that's the good shit.
