I can understand why people may be skeptical of PRC and DPRK - wtf did Cuba do? I'm always dumbfounded that Western leftists are actually willing to shit on that nation.

I’m always dumbfounded that Western leftists are actually willing to shit on that nation.

why? That's exactly what I expect from their material conditions of being imperialist

I don’t think nearly as many people are as skeptical about Cuba as this meme makes it seem.

Cuba was the first AES state I came around on. But there’s still a lot of focus by Reddit libs on, for example, imprisonment of gay people under Castro. Here’s an article that’s decent on the subject for anyone not familiar. I don’t think it was nearly long enough ago to say “that’s the past so get over it”. Not even close. But it does seem like Cuba has done more restorative justice work on LGBTQ rights than is usually discussed.

No one ever said that ultras are smart.

All they know is dogma, books, complain and sit in an armchair.

left: the communist states that conveniently no longer exist anymore are "good"

right: the communist states that actually exist, and have uplifted hundreds of millions out of poverty, and are opposed to mayo imperialism and are sanctioned by mayos, are "bad"

Actually incorrect because they think only the stalinist ussr, albania and maoist China were truly socialist

Gonzalo was a friendless loser, who is only liked by white Canadian 20 year olds who think spray paint is revolutionary.

if Gonzalo was a friendless loser how did he get all those people to #BoilBabiesforGonzalo and the unending admiration of white 14 year old Canadian kids who think throwing rocks at their boomer neighbors window is protracted people's war

The left side says Mao was 100% correct. The right side says Mao was 70% correct. As a true centrist, I believe Mao was 85% correct.

tfw mao threw deng and deng's oldest son in prison for revisionism (who was thrown out of a window and became a paraplegic) and deng still adopted mao zedong thought as an official policy :picard-troll:

It's almost like Deng was a committed communist and that the re-education he went through worked.

I think people who actually are MLs know that you look back on current and past socialist projects and apply things that did work and can work by utilizing them in your society. Almost like socialism is scientific or something.
