Not sure what I should've expected, but "Stop Wrongs Against Our Kids and Employees" is pretty lazy.
“imagine being so ashamed of your history you make it illegal to teach it to your own children.” - someone on twitter
They're going to teach that in the period of slavery in the USA, African people sailed here on there own and were welcomed with open arms by the good white folks, given jobs to buy Ford F-150s, and pull themselves up by their got danged bootstraps.
It's not like this is too far off from what's actually taught in US schools, which is "Lincoln freed the slaves and so since 1865 racism hasn't been a problem".
Yeah there was a brief flare up of racism in the 60's but MLK made a speech and everyone said sorry.
And note how white folks exclusively clip the "judged by the content of their character" part and ignore everything else MLK said. Because you can take that one quote, remove all context, and then use it to imply things like Affirmative Action are racist because it treats people differently.
My middle school history teacher essentially told us slaves came willingly because Africans were selling the slaves. I was also told the south won the Civil War by the same person.
I remember hearing that, that the africans sold themselves out and h'wite people just could not pass up on such an offer!
They always do that, a small number of willing collaborators in colonized or exploited countries are used to shift blame away from the people that are funding the entire thing.
honestly just sign the "actually it's illegal to be mean to conservatives" act already and get it over with.
“Thank you, madam speaker for yielding the floor. My fellow congresspeople, what is a slur? These are some of common ones that have been used throughout history…”
In the future I’m either going out in a guillotine for being too reactionary for the post-zoomer vanguard or killed by nazis for saying cracker
Stop teaching about Whites’s Oppression, Killing, and Exploitation of people of color
Lol, "Stop Wronging Our Kids and Employees" would have worked fine.
WAOKAE really sounds like something from a jumble puzzle, or a mystic fantasy game.
"To be accepted as a full member of the clan, one must survive the Waokae. At the eve of their sixteenth birthday, each child is brought to the summit of Mt. Focksneus, within which molder the bones of uncountable generations of deceased clansfolk. As the sun dips below the horizon, the ancestors' spirits wake and are drawn to the irrepressible glow of that young life, reaching out of their mountain sepulcher like obsidian branches of a twisted tree hungering for the sun. Once their prey is found, they will subject her to centuries worth of outdated political opinions, ancient prejudices, and apocryphal anecdotes. Those weak of spirit will turn, taken before their time into the depths of rocky tombs to become another twisted limb on the Stygian tree. In this way the clan is kept strong."
