    I support disabilities

Not, not people with the disabilities mind you

    Just, you know, the disabilities

Just broke a guy's legs because it's eugenics to think that it's bad when people have non-functioning legs.

There are at least two reasons for marriage in Crusader Kings.

      a. to seek a strong alliance

      b. to further your centuries long eugenics program

        c. some random unlanded noble has a weak claim and you matrilinerally marry them to your daughter

        c) as an invite to court button that works on people you couldn't otherwise invite to your court

Marriage is great for getting claims into your court so you can land and press them when the opportunity arises, even if that opportunity comes a generation down the line, for getting good tutors into your court especially if you want to change religion or culture and for inviting and retaining good councillors and commanders.

        d) murder

Marriage is also an excellent tool to have in your toolbox if you need someone dead, marrying off high intrigue people who like you and have cultural negatives to everyone in the court you're sending them to basically guarantees you another good plotter against everyone in that court, and even just plaguebombing, marrying off sick people to a royal court (difficult due to the penalties but very doable with a slight status mismatch) can absolutely decimate a court you need people to start dying in.

        e) religion/culture bombing

If you marry enough people of a certain religion or culture into a court it eventually tends to stick, especially if it's combined with judicious assasinations, and it can be an absolute godsend to suddenly have the Mongol Empire flip to your religion or a kingdom suddenly implode into revolts and get targetted by holy wars because their head of state is of a different religous group to everyone else in the region now.

This is why I personally don’t like the term “differently abled.” It sounds so condescending to me, like, my brain doesn’t work differently it works worse. I don’t want my disabilities normalized I want them treated and when necessary, accommodated.

I've heard autistic people say that they don't want to be "fixed", but not anyone with a physical disability.

Toss in some anti-abortion agenda shit and you get really interesting permutations on what is and is not socially acceptable for an expectant mother to do. Real weird shit about what you're simultaneously required and forbidden to do.

They fell for the bourgeoisie marketing of "modesty".

It's like a liberal version of CHUDs who say "who cares if I'm getting poisoned and weakened by air pollution and microplastics!?! I WANT MY TREATS!"

Now, they pat themselves on the back for being such GOOD ascetics for making the NOBLE SACRIFICE of being worse off due to another indulging in a vice, like it's some moral high ground.

I mean, "incest is bad bc of genetic deformities" is a bad argument. There are plenty of scenarios where there's no possibility of having children, and even when there is, it really takes generations for bad stuff to happen. The issue is the social power imbalances that he mentions and then promptly dismisses, for no reason except to make the take hotter.

Those situations are very limited. It only really applies when there's some sort of social force pushing people to inbreed, such as dynastic succession. The argument about abuse and power dynamics is stronger and applies more generally, and is more consistent with broader principles of sexual ethics. The genetic argument may be valid, but it's just not very strong or applicable.

Sure, my quality of life has drastically reduced but at least I know that some loser out there admired how FOLKSY it made me.

EDIT: I am not suffering from any health problems for that specifically, so don't worry about me. I'm just ranting at how liberals thinking that un-pretentiousness is the greatest virtue of all.

Never heard a good reason for not allowing it? Come on now. Feels like he was presented with the evidence on why it's a bad idea, and he just went "hm, no, the thought of this is still titillating, I win sweaty."
