I think they might just be AI generating the animation using the snapchat shit. It sure looks like it.

no i think there were specific (albeit hack) artistic decisions made that got us here. like it looks like someone wanted to mash together South Park and Archer.

I remember right wingers being mad at like "bean mouth" or whatever but most of those shows look alright, the fucking tsunami of "adult animated comedy shows" is infinitely worse than anything else, yet I still see people go like "dude no this one is actually so funny" and it just looks like awful dull dogshit, just make a fucking comedy podcast if your visual element is a complete afterthought and as cheap as possible compared to the writing. Then also most of them have writing almost worse than the animation anyways.

I was watching one of those "X react" videos and this time it was for animation, and the guys doing it invited some old school animation guy onto the show and he was gushing about the legends he worked under, all the tricks used to bring life to animation and give unique looks and traits to characters. Then he starts talking about the new show hes working on and its an adult animated comedy and he just sounds so dead, just pure contractually obliged praise and advertising.

This is a show specifically for Raytheon middle management with an "In this house, we believe" sign in the yard.

Every year comedy central tries to put a new animated show after South Park and every year it fails.

Anyways Smiling Friends got renewed for Season 2 go watch that instead

See that's actually the fault of Mike from red letter media. They wanted to bring him in to voice the one suicidally depressed bit character and he actually has a clause in his contract that stipulates the show must meet a certain minimum sexism threshold. It's like van halen and the m&m thing. Talent ya know?

this will either go on for 3 mediocre seasons or get canceled three episodes in

and it will never break 60 on Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic

Watched this monstrosity, did not laugh a single time.

What little patriotism I thought I had left for the US just dissipated right then and there. No wonder hogs say Steven Colbert is unamerican, watching this DOES make me like being an American even LESS. Hell, even being dropped smack dab in the middle of hog country in :ukkk: sounds more appealing.
