"Current state enemy X is worse than Hitler" was the first step, but the escalation to "Hitler wasn't so bad, really" was very quick. This is already step three - "Yea, we fought with and for Hitler, but we were still the good guys". It will be interesting to see if step 3 gets wider use, so far it has been only used by randos on twitter, not broadly like step 2 so far.

Step 4 is just actually Hitler did nothing wrong, given the way they are talking about Russians suffering we are heading there already.

He won't be. He'll be the fall guy forever.

His ideology is slowly but easily absorbed into liberal capitalism but deflected through pointing out our (reluctant) antagonism towards him.

We're not the bad guys. Hitler was. Yes we own the world economy through the dollar, yes we own all media that millions consume, yes we own you through debt, rent, bills etc., yes we terrorise the rest of the world to keep our living standards high, but you're free.

We're all free. Don't you deserve to live a better life than those people? After all, you're a Westerner, you understand morality and democracy better than anyone else.

      Welcome to the Fourth Reich.

Supposedly "Clean SS" was actually a thing in West Germany after the war.

Adolf Heusinger was Chairman of the NATO Military Committee 1961-1964.

He was also a high ranking nazi official. Chief of the OKH general staff among other roles. He was standing next to Hitler and was injured by a bomb during Von Stauffenberg's assassination attempt.

One of the most jokerfying things for me was stopping for a second to ask myself what happened to all the n*zis after WW2 ended. I was pretty shocked when I got my answer.

It's sad to see Balts fighting in the Red Army completely forgotten. Ukrainians in the Red Army is seemingly going to suffer the same fate.

do these people not realize that one of "Hitler's sick ideas" was literally the elimination of the USSR and communism? and therefore they were doing his bidding the whole time by fighting in his fucking Nazi army? my brain is melting into a nice hot borscht

One of Hitler's sick ideas was exterminating every Slav on the planet through direct killing or enslaving them and working them to death as part of Lebensraum.

It makes me wonder what happened to the Baltic States when they were part of the USSR, how, why.. why there are so many fucking nazis? Something must have failed, some issues must have not been addressed.

And actually the SS were the ideals of Hitler materialized into a paramilitary force. It's even worse than that, because Himmler had a say here, and Himmler had pretty fucking insane ideas too.. some even worse than Hitler's.

Real talk, when your fighting fash, it seems like half-measures never work. I'm thinking about post-US Civil War where Reconstruction failed and now there are more confed flags flying today than in the 1860s. I'm also thinking about the end of WW2 and Churchill preventing Stalin from purging the SS and shit like the alphabet agencies hiding Banderas from the Soviets or bulk importing nzis back to the states. Now there are fucking nzis everywhere.

    • They never fought for Hitler's sick ideas

    Which one is it?
