This literal exact picture was posted to "oddlyterrifying" a year ago, just goes to show how much suppressing leftists on your platform impacts the overall culture.

It belongs there. The men on the left and right edges look incredibly unsettling, not just because of the Nazism.

I think it's the coloration, but still...

someone in the comments mentioned the Japanese atrocities and the second response was:

And then the communists came and starved another 40-50 million people. Maybe we should talk about that too. Google great leap forward.

Maybe we should talk about how Mao and Chinese Communism achieved the greatest sustained increase in life expectancy in the 20th century.

Well good thing the Japanese didn't fight the arch enemies of the Communists, thereby weakening their hold on China and contributing to a Communist victory. That'd make this redditor look stupid even by their own brainworm-infested logic.

Y'all, what the fuck are we gonna do. Everything is popping off, in like 10 years I wouldn't be surprised if we had major fascist movements in every country reaching the scale of Azov and Right Sector in Ukraine. I know reddit = stormfront, but how often did pictures of nazis get 22K upvotes?? All the praise for Azov in the mainstream media, if they lose they'll get a stab-in-the-back and if they win they'll be heroes... The rate of profit is declining and there's no mass worker's movement to catch people, there's just stochastic violence and this rising fascist threat. I personally have never seen it this bad in my life. At least a lot of comments are reinforcing that these are nazis and nazis are bad.

:doomer: Honestly I felt that the west have already been lost to fascism, as you said reactionary thought is extremely mainstream, leftist movement are extremely marginalized with little power in real life, and the only people who gives the people outlet for their anger over the deteriorating conditions are fascists. At the moment legitimately the only place where leftist though still have a strong hold plain and simple are in China, the smaller AES states, and parts of the Global South.

The good news is with how extremely short-sighted modern capitalists are along with how self-destructive contemporary fascists and reactionaries are it is likely that we will see the west collapsing in this century under the pressure of both climate change and undeniable contradictions. The bad news is of course this would come at the cost of billions of people caught in the crossfire, not just in the west world but also in the global south as we will likely see the dying west thrashes about and lunges at south in desperate bid for resource and because of plain fascist blood thirst.

Perhaps at that point I really hope China would finally be ready to step up in its role as the fortress of world socialism and took a more proactive step to counter the west and protect the south, but it is likely in its final dying moment the west would rather see the world burn in atomic fire rather than seeing it at the hand enemy.

we stand with the vast majority of people. fascists don't and aren't quiet about it. overcoming propaganda is hard but we shouldn't buy-in to the picture the media paints. they can felate Azov all they want but it won't feed kids, get workers rights, or create consent for domestic fascism amongst the victims. we gotta be in there to help organise the opponents of fascism who only become a larger group as time goes on.

Everything under heaven is in utter chaos; the situation is excellent

Fascists don't need a majority and have never had one in countries they've controlled. They just need money and political dominance and enough of the population to shrug and stop caring because of their own reactionary biases. The remainder, i.e. The poor, ethnic minorities, leftists, just have to get suppressed and we already are, so I don't know. Honestly right now I'm very worried a good amount of Latino/a people in America might start leaning into reaction and get fully integrated as reliably right wing.

Oh yeah I do believe in the future and the foundations of our cause, I'd just like to mention fascists don't need to operate like a movement we could argue or petition against. They operate on taking money from capital, dominating institutions, and spreading mental parasites based on society's worst bigotries. We gotta outflank them through direct organization
