Emolga is the only one I feel justifies its existence. Both in general in terms of design, and its use in Gym Battles when you were expecting to use Ground types.

I was kinda hoping Legends would stick around for a while with some new dlc before a new game came out. It's a good base game but feels like it has a lot of potential for expansion. All though I'd be happy to go back to more traditional trainer battles and gyms.
Legends could still get DLC because I think they consider it separate from the mainline series
Is legends fun/worth the price? It's probably the only pokemon game I've been interested in for a while.
It's got some cool features but it looks like scarlet/Violet will have most of them so depends how soon you need your Pokemon fix. At this point is probably wait for the new ones.
I have more video games than time for them these days, so I'll keep an eye out for those.
I really thought so, I put about 45 hours in without playing any other games until I felt like I wanted to move on, which is more than I can say for almost any game in the last 5 years other than breath of the wild and elden ring
Knowing when to walk away is such an important skill with all these recent open world games, lol.
Man I played Sword and Shield and it was so boring. There's going to be so many mad people if they go back to that after Legends
Sword/shield seems very decisive. I didn't play but talking people who did they either thought it was the best game yet or garbage. A lot of the great stuff about Legends could easily work with any other game but knowing how Game Freak loves to rip out anything cool the fans actually like has my optimism tempered.
the thing with sword and shield is that they are totaly fine pokemon games, but sword shield was supposed to be THE FIRST MAINLINE POKEMON GAME IN A CONSOLE, not a handheld in the sense that a 3ds is for example, so people were expecting breath of the wild pokemon and got a clunky game that was just the same old, like there are some great little designs on SW/SH it is not bad just kinda of a midlying experience (also people were annoyed that all the pokemons were not in, which is fair because game freak did say they future proof their models a lot during the pass from 2d to 3d models)
They're ok games but the main game is too easy which would be fine, if the endgame was more accessible and not a slog of a grindfest. Ironically Let's Go Pikachu ended up being a way more fun game because chaining, candies, a way to look at IVs/EVs made minmaxing your poggies less of a frustrating experience. Too bad they're stuck on PoGo and the Let's Go games.
Legends is going to be the last good Pokemon game for awhile at this point.
like this region is spain based, so i i really don't know if they would go for it they tend to be pretty consistent with region, i am hyped for some dumb ass pokemon conquistador evolution line or a flamenco based pokemon
like yeah but they are not famously from somewhere else, capybaras are a latin america thing, like it is not a rule but they seem to try to make them trying to follow regional theming, in particular in the "set pokemon" like there will always be a eletric rodent and Starters and a early normal bird pokemon and etc these recurring ones tend to be hard themed to the region
I think I'm just hopeful because I want a capybara pokemon lol
