Sandy Hook was rapidly demolished too. While Columbine and the Aurora cinema are still up, when the victims are mostly that young the building is a special kind of tainted. I could go either way on this being related to the police shooting some or most of the kids.

They could just block up those rooms. Let's just knock the entire building down so everyone can forget what happened easier.

They're 8 through ten, its entirely about virtue signaling for these city councilman and police officers.

yes, as we know between the ages of 8 and 10 you can't be retraumatised by returning to the scene of your friends deaths every day

Alternative schools are a good idea for the kids who were affected, but it makes zero sense to knock the building down.

You're being pretty obtuse. It was a massively traumatic event for the whole community. No one will want to return to work at that building or return to school there after what they experienced first or second hand there. Have you heard of agoraphobia?

All the kids were effected. It doesn't matter if you were just in the building when this happened or if you were in a classroom that was targeted directly. There's probably not a single kid in who was in the school that day that isn't traumatized to some significant degree. Alternative education for all of them is probably not a realistic option. Building a new school however seems to be a reasonable option.

but what about in 5 years when literally no child who attended that school will be in elementary school anymore

we might be wishing we had a suitable building for a school. this is literally just wasteful

The cops definitely killed at least one kid

What makes you say that? I must have missed this red pill

Iirc the chief of police made a very unprompted statement that none of the kids were killed by cops.

There was audio of a kid saying they got shot and and I believe it was agreed upon that the gun used by the shooter would have made them unable to speak. A cops handgun though...

They also lied at first and claimed the shooter had a rifle and handgun, then changed it to just a rifle later

Love to have so many mass shootings that there's a standard practice for how to handle the aftermath

They also demolished the branch davidian compound at Waco and demolish drone strikes on civilians as a matter of course. It seems routine, just demolish everything when something bad happens and we don't want anyone to look into it. Did they demolish columbine high school?

Okay, let me give you a totally rational, non-conspiratorial reason this is happening - it's a small town an absolutely noone would be cruel or unthinking enough to ask parents to return their kids to an elementary school where the child's friends or family members were killed. It's also Texas so they were likely planning to privatize the school system anyways.

There's already a shit ton of video evidence, cops will appreciate this but so will everyone else, I couldn't imagine going to school in the same building a massacre occured at
