Expect nothing because then you'll only be mildly disappointed. God, dems are useless on the only issue the party even pretends to have a stance on.

If you're not politically polarizing, how can you claim to be any different from the other party?

"Both sides are not the same! Stop saying that!"

I mean, the French elections have proven that the libs are far more fickle than leftists when it comes to vooting. If given the choice between moderate welfare state and outright fascists they will choose neither. They crave that fascist lite flavour.

Lightfoot already did it in Chicago. Pre-empted low voter turn out by blaming Bernie Bros. Bonus points, she brought up 2016 fucking again.

Oh that’s something they’ll never stop doing even if Biden was running the Nazi gas chambers himself: “yeah but he’s better than a republicans because he works slowly on purpose so less people die per day”

ok sure but this whole deal is bad, Jack.

I know a true fucking believer when I see one. I'd bet my last dollar Biden is glad this happened. He just can't say that out loud.

Has Biden hired Keir Starmer to do his political strategy now? This is even stupider than I'm used to from him. The idea that polarization on this issue doesn't already exist or that emphasizing the contrast between the parties would be a losing strategy is just duncery of an ascended level.

Is doing nothing in the face of the most serious attack on women's rights in decades NOT polarizing?

How do you use this moment to galvanize voter to come out and vote for you if you do nothing at all?

There's people out protesting and fund raising on this issue. Polls show that anti-abortion policy is unpopular. Yet you don't want to do anything because it's "radical" and undermines the public's trust in the SC (which is already at an all time low approval rating if I'm not mistaken). Seriously?

I get that Democrats are ok with this behind closed doors and winning or losing doesn't matter to most of them. But to not even put on airs of actually doing something is really damning.

In the summer of 2020 there was a republican in office so libs/media felt comfortable with engaging with the protests.

:maybe-later-kiddo: Biden doesn’t owe you a thing. Besides, the highest court in the country has spoken. Also the parliamentarian has said we can’t do anything because the Tony hawk pro skater like :vote: special meter isn’t filled all the way. You should learn how the system works. :maybe-later-kiddo:

I'm totally confused by them, like yeah I get they may be indifferent to peoples suffering that's par for the course, but they were walking into a buzzsaw before this ruling came down. Now I would have to think a lot of lib voters are just looking at them and wondering why they're not doing anything. It's like instead of taking any steps to actually develop political strategy, they've only fortified the bubble they were in that made them think Hillary had it in the bag, six years ago.

Lose, blame the left, get elected again because the Republicans are terrible, do nothing. Rinse and repeat.
