    been saying it since they began pretending like they'd remove the filibuster, the second we have 52+ senators they'll suddenly think the filibuster is sacred again.

    It's always that rascally Leiberman Manchin Sinema! If it wasn't for them we could do everything we promised! thats just as good as doing it right?!

      They could also not use the party and its resources to promote the careers of rightwingers, such as Lieberman, Manchin, Sinema, and a whole lot of lower profile assholes.

        I'm serious when I say that even if the dems get five more senate seats - they won't kill the filibuster.

        They turned it into something like a sacred, holy relic. They want it to exist forever.

        The filibuster is not a law, it's a rule that gets reinstated every term (2 years) with the rest of the rule packages. Rules changes cannot be filibustered.

          Don't forget they suspended it temporarily in December for raising the debt ceiling. So basically everything they're saying is a lie.
