He had OK opinions about imperialism and the class divide. He said that alternative pronouns were "breaking the grammar", lol! Who will think of the grammar!!!

I actually made an effort to change his mind as he's still a teen. He said that his parents are really religious. I warned him that it's gotta hurt to get his psyche out of that psychological hell.

Some person on one of the federated instances the other day tried to convict me that "conservative anarchists" were both somehow distinct from libertarians and also totally comrades and how dare Hexbear ban them. Conservatives are dumb no matter what type of conservative they are.

"Conservative anarchists" sound like the type of person to get slept by actual anarchists

You want to preserve the current state of things and dissolve the hierarchies? It sounds like they've convinced themselves that the hierarchies have nothing to do with material conditions, which then begs the question "Why do you even want the hierarchies gone?" Which is immediately answered with "I want to own guns, drugs, and people". They do sound young so prolly fixable but why not get 20x the results by turning your efforts towards people already friendly to socialism and communism.

That was all over the place sorry lol

I find that people who identify as things like "conservative socialist" care more about aesthetics than actual politics. Sorry, but not sorry.

You have more experience, but with the backstory this does sound like someone who thinks socialism is genuinely good, but has many many brainworms

In this instance, its a teenager right? So it makes sense that political identity is, at this point, mostly aesthetics and shallow understanding of politics, philosophy, and history.

Time for the nerds to bully the shit outta this kid though.

exactly what happened with me. I think it can feel refreshing to understand things through a class lens as you can mostly drop away that "culture war" garbage. However, much like I did after talking in depth with more experienced and well versed comrades, it's important to come to understand that "culture war" is the superstructure that organizes the oppressed into the meat grinder that forms capitalism's base. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and all are valuable things to agitate about and understand.

There is a joke that the Germans could never win a socialist revolution by taking the railroads because none of them could afford to buy tickets to get into the train station.

Save your pennies! We will be able to afford the revolution soon!

I similarly went through an anti-idpol phase where I thought class is the only useful metric of analysis after I broke out of that. I think you have a comrade here especially since he's so young. Work on him if you can ButtBidet!

If you're a radical bidet theorist like myself, then you'd know that showers are nothing but bidets for the body.
