ah yes a document of our achievements as Good People™, which reminds me I need to make me weekly $300 donation to the DNC or else my parakeet named Ruth Bader Ginsberg will peck my eyes out in my sleep and my employer (praise thee be thy name, we need more billionares not less! trickle down unto thee) health insurance has a $10,000 deductible.

Oh no, there absolutely will be a documentary or a TV series about these hearings.

Sorkin will make some wet dream fantasy where Trump goes on trial, ends up in jail for every crime, then everyone goes to brunch. The final scene has Donald in orange (get it!?) overalls, sitting in his cell watching tv with Hillary being sworn in as President.

If The West Wing is any indication, it'll be a wet dream fantasy where Trump still wins 60% of the time and where libs still feel completely powerless to accomplish anything

Somewhere in DC there's a strategist being paid $300k per year to say "Soon this book will be in the hands of the American People, just in time for mid-terms. Once people read it, we will definitely see some improvements in Biden's numbers."

They won't be fired when they're wrong. They'll resign after landing a $1M per year job at some oil company or defense contractor.

My friend took umbrage when I suggested the only reason it was happening now instead of a year ago was because of the midterms, I kinda envy her innocence that she thinks they're not all scum sucking ghouls only interested in maintaining the status quo.

At an exclusive lib winter lodge that's closed to the public (of course) it's après-ski and high-income only libs are gathered around the fireplace. The very cozy fire is carbon neutral...

"I'm reading a trashy novel. You?"

"The paperback of The January 6th Committee's Final Report."

"But that's not out for another 3 weeks!"

      "I know people."

"Oh my goodness. You're somebody to know!"

at least the Jan 6 trials make sense now. If they'd told me the end result was going to be a shitty book that doesn't matter, then I'd have immediately understood why libs were so obsessed with it

I'm going to read this and think wistfully about Trump suffering consequences as I'm lined up in front of the firing squad.
