Bees are cool, but it would be cool if wasps wouldn't live immediately above my front door
I have the same problem. No incidents yet but they are feisty as fuck some days and it freaks me out
I swear “just outside apartment doors” is the ideal habitat for wasps I guess, I’ve had this problem at my last 3 places

Don't smash wasps if you are killing them. The smell of their dead makes them angry like Hulk angry.
The buzz Bois are friends but sometimes they get a bit zesty when I'm just trying to smoke a bowl in my backyard. Get away from my flower colored shirt. There's real flowers over there please.
I used to drive a yellow car with black trim and there'd always be wasps checking that shit out when I walked out to the parking lot.
When my sons were little, there was a bee in the house and they panicked. All they knew was that bees were scary. I explained to them that the bee was our "neighbor". It was super effective. We shooed it out the door and all was well.

Bee's were pretty threatened ecologically for a while. Glad they're doing alright... Hope they stay that way. I was one of those folks that tilled the shit out of my monoculture/crabgrass lawn for weeks until it was completely dead and replaced it with clover/mustard/wildflowers.
Dont forget botflies which look like extra large and cute bumbles but should 100% be killed on sight.
I recently learned about botfly tape, you put it in your clothes and the fuckers get stuck there
I love seeing big fuzzy bumblebee butts on my flowers, it's one of my few pleasures in life ❤️ I don't know why but they are incredibly cute
