What the fuck is that last sentence supposed to even mean
Today I lost a job in Gavin Newsom's Commie-fornia simply because I am not trans. He recently passed a bill banning all straight people from competing in high school and college sports.
Something about the word cis sets them off in such a weird way when their whole identity is proving how cishet they definitely are through everything they say, do, and own.
I'll admit to being that kind of idiot that felt "cishet" was a strangely ugly word to describe myself. I was never outwardly against it like this goober though.
I got over it really quick once my idiot brain allowed it to click that it was short for "cisgendered heterosexual." I never claim to be a smart man, but I try to learn when I can.
Tbh if "cishet" sounds ugly to cishets, I consider that a feature. Give the cissies a tiny taste of all the absurd slurs they've been hurling at us for like, near a century.
This is fair, also partly why I never said anything about it, I wasn't gonna get any sympathy from the people that deal with infinitely worse on a daily basis.
Before I knew it was a Latin prefix that's generically used in chemistry to mean "same", my first encounter with it was defined as "comfortable in skin". That was immediately as benign to me as heterosexual. From like age 3 I've never felt the need to question my sexuality, for as long as I can remember I've disliked masculinity but have never felt an impulse to change my body or gender performance. I was just like "oh cool, there's a participation trophy word if none of this applies to me."
For like a solid year I thought that "cishet" was some sort of Tumblr-insult and meant to be pronounced like "CiSHIT". It lead to a lot of eyerolling from me whenever I read it, until it somehow dawned on me that it meant "cisgendered heterosexual".
It’s a mentality that they’re normal, default, and having to put any sort of prefix in front of their gender identity calls that “normal” status into question. The prefixes are for the Others, so by throwing cis in front of man or woman you’re treating them by the same standards as trans people are treated and oh boy they do not like that.
If you love something let it go, and if it returns to you, it's a slur.
who gets to decide what is a slur?
Brought to you by the same people that recoil in fear if you say ___
taking a stab at that last sentence: I prefer to use dog-whistles instead of slurs because it makes me feel cool and subversive.
"First off, how fucking dare you call me not transgender." - this bigot
Commonwealth of Independent States? Banned.
Confederacy of Independent Systems? Banned.
Cis-Lunar space? Believe it or not, banned.
trying to reconstruct the random movements of this creature's brain: racism used to exist, and it was bad because no one knew about it. but now everyone knows about it, so it's not bad any more.
