Otherwise, just find a topic you're really interested in and find a book that explains it. You'll learn way more from a single book than you could from hundreds of articles / forum posts. Books are a wonderful escape from reality and there's plenty of leftist book publishers (Verso, Pluto Press, AK Press, Zer0 Books, Repeater Books, Haymarket Books, etc.) if you want to know about the topic from a similar perspective to yours.

Recenter yourself in your personal life a bit. That or find like-minded people and make friends with them. If you believe in a cause, then be a part of it, and it may give you purpose. Yes its all daunting and yes we may be doomed, but becoming resigned to this belief is non-materialist; as material conditions deteriorate, things WILL change, for the better or worse TBD. Those around us will never change unless they hear us. Its hard as hell but what else are we going to do?

Same tbh. I'm trying to browse online less and make more music to try and feel better, but since reading more theory, I've lost faith in a lot of things the left does. I don't think the Social Democrats can achieve much, and I don't think the non electoral movement will be able to go anywhere any time soon if at all as it both Trump and Biden don't look good for it. We just don't have the time to organize as Climate Change is going to devastate us and result in us just fighting over whatever resources we have left. The worst part is knowing we can't do anything about it in November.

We have hardly a left in America. The social democrats, for all the flaws that we must address are necessary, they were necessary in the rebirth. Most movements surface from the realization that electoralism doesn't work for our goals. The social fascists thing is dumb and alienating. also in terms of good Social Democrats this guy is who needs to be brought up more.
