Guaido is specifically notable for being electable even if you don't vote for him
They're libs for the most part, but what happened to the Green Party? No candidates in any of the major races.
And the fucking Larouch Party made it on the ballot?:kombucha-disgust:
NY removed any party that didn't 130,000 votes. Also NY is way more conservative and reactionary than people think.
I've got family in NY and can confirm my "straight ticket Dem" aunt is a hair's breath off open fascism when she's voting in the primary.
Didn't realize their numbers had gone down that much. Whenever I did vote I'd usually go with them.
Also, yeah, it definitely is lol. Met so many unhinged rightoids when I used to work in retail.
Because most of the retail positions are being taken by boomers forced to work through “retirement”, right?
Nah, I meant more in reference to the customers I dealt with. Although there were a few boomers who ended up working there for that very reason. They weren't too bad though.
Didn’t see them on my FL ballot either, and usually they’ve got a few. No PSL candidates either. Only third party was the fucking libertarians.
The Dems have been suing the Greens off ballots all over the country. Can't have democracy getting in the way of democracy. It's objectively the right move for the dems if they want to win. Shame they never play hardball with anyone to their right tho.
oh no, you photographed your ballot! now they might not count it
Oh please how many Howie Hawkins Nicolás Maduro Pham Minh Chinh Xi Jinping Juan Guadó ballots could there possibly be?
What’s the reasoning for having a republican and conservative ticket with all the same candidates?
Mechanically? You can have multiple parties without splitting the ticket upballot. Two aligned parties can both nominate Ghoul Braineaterson to Governor and argue over Leech Bloodsuckmeoff or Stab Killington for State Senate.
Practically speaking? Its so NY can cosplay as a multi-party governing system without giving any lay voter a chance to pick their representatives.

Just what ever you do, DO NOT LOOK AT THE JUDGES. (out of frame their are six people running for six seats, all endorsed by the three major parties)
Yeah, that shit is insane. I'm not sure if these judges are just running uncontested or if you actually have Republican party members voting to entrench incumbents. Either way, I can't help but suspect NY's status as having some of the most cloistered primaries in the nation has something to do with it.
Lol idk….. maybe to catch the libertarian types that say “I’m not a republican” but vote for all their policies anyway? It’s weird for sure lol
That’s actually a much better way of doing things than what most states do
So you can have the same name multiple times. Also of you think that's bad look at the judges.
While I didn't get all six in the picture l, they're running unopposed and are all sponsored by the same parties. But remember, it's China that doesn't have a democracy.
It’s New York, I’d be surprised if there were any outside of NY, CA, and maybe IL
Nice democracy y'got there. I like how most of the competing candidates are the same person.
Lee Zeldin hasnt done enough to secure the boomer vote by making his name closer to Led Zeppelin
I'm bringing :lenin-crush-capitalism: back to life and changing his name to "John Lenin" so the boomers bring about Communism via electoral means.
I wrote him in last year and have lived to tell the tale. Haven't decided how many offices I'll select for him today.
Can't wait for MSM to start talking about Chinese election tampering in the form of Xi write ins
Would be a truly historic moment for this site
Chen Weihua's a good candidate, too. I think he deserves my vote for Secretary of State.
Working Families is also "moderate". Liberalism is as left as you get on this ballot lol.
WFP are the ones who endorsed Warren over Sanders in 2020, after some apparent internal chicanery which I don't care enough to remember the details of.
iirc their leadership did their own thing after the membership voted Sanders
The Conservative New York Party was founded in the 60's by people that thought the Republicans weren't sufficiently conservative.
Imagine how Western media would frame it if you had a Chinese ballot with Xi Jinping on it more than once
