Listing about 5 hours a day for gym, lunch, and dinner to make it look like they work a lot. I do those things too. I call that being outside of work. Corporate 🧠
God you're cool.
(This place has irony poisoning so I should clarify this is a genuine expression of admiration)
She'd have to be because most academics are stuck in adjunct hell.
So stuck I literally gave up on being an academic on this entire continent. Maybe someday I'll live somewhere it's viable. Literally make more money in retail than I did as an adjunct, with less hours. :agony-deep:
:jesse-wtf:
Stem? Humanities? Because every single lecturer position I've applied to in the humanities is an insane gauntlet for absolute shit pay, nevermind the fucking unending cycle of adjuncting to get experience to be considered for any position
Yeah, I left last year after years of adjuncting. I'm glad a comrade made it! :yes-comm:
Monday: ~5 hours of meetings, no actual work
Tuesday: ~6.5 hours, most of which is meetings, vague "WORK" for 2 hours
Wednesday: ~5.5 hours of meetings, no actual work
Thursday: ~4.5 hours of meetings, no actual work
Friday: ~3.75 hours of meetings, but also she has to watch someone else work for 3 hours so that's hard
Every day includes taking time off during the day for shit like lunch or getting a fucking manicure.
I eat lunch at my fucking desk and sometimes just DO NOT GET A LUNCH BREAK, and I have a better job than probably 3/4 of people in the US because it's an office job.
This person cannot go to the wall fast enough.
EDIT: LOL went to the website in her bio and it looks like one of the get rich quick/"business mentor" pyramid schemes
These people tend to view "checking their email" as something akind to social media, if it's their private email. They also tend to use a few different email-adresses, so she might be checking her "work" email, and seeing if anything caught fire while she was asleep. All of my bosses have done this very openly, though that might be more of a thing in lawfirms, since the partners who run these things tend to be old as hell and terrible with anything more technologically complicated than Microsoft Word.
Don't forget that having dinner with your own dad is work. That one is the most funny to me.
Just professionals whining about how underappreciated they feel and groypers jacking off to children in anime.
:amerikkka-clap:
I’m 30 years old. And I run a $200M portfolio of businesses. This is why people don't deserve healthcare.
Incredibly self-indulgant. Working class parents, especially the single ones, are the real 90 hour workweek CEOs.
My mother was a teacher that had to raise me on her own. She'd make sure I was awake, that I got ready and left for the bus, left shortly before I did, got home after I did, had to take care of my dumb-ass and cook. She'd have to put up with my problems, she'd help with homework, had piles of stuff to grade for work, maintain a household/fix the fixer-upper she was able to afford on a teacher's salary. My mother has difficulty recognizing her limits as she's getting older and feels like if she's not constantly doing that she's doing something wrong.
I hear my coworkers talk about all the shit they have to do for their kids and that's on top of going home dead tired because we're so understaffed. People are breaking themselves to give their kids a chance and we're stuck seeing these out of touch weirdos post their schedules as if they're the true working grinding doers of society.
all of these people have meetings as the primary thing they do. No, going to a meeting is when you figure out what sort of work you're doing and how to organize it. The only thing resembling work on this person's schedule are the presentations and meetings. If that's all your job is, then what is it that you really do? I don't get it.
This reminds me of when Musky boy claimed he worked something like 90 hours per week, so he put up his schedule. He also listed gym and his meals as work, plus things like being on airplanes or in his car. Same thing too, only thing resembling work were just meetings.
Delegation and some management is legitimate labor, you just don't need a parasitical class of capitalist-renfields to do it. Workers could do that shit all on their own.
If that’s all your job is, then what is it that you really do?
Parasitize
Lmao if we get to add meals and the gym then at my last job I was doing Musks bullshit high claim and another part time jobs worth of hours on top of that. The only use for that info is as a gotcha against musk dickriders though
Most nights we eat out.
This saves us a ton of time.
2+ hours reserved for dinner every day except monday.
What a great time save.
There's practically no actual work even in the work parts. It's mostly just listening to other people talk about the work they're doing.
Edit: I should have read the comments where everyone says basically this same thing lol
After about an hour or so, I head back to work (no shower)
Take a shower you fucking stinky ass it takes like 10 minutes
:data-laughing:
I didn't actually bother reading more than 2 posts, holy shit... Just exercise a little less! What the hell.
An hour for post workout supplements? That's gotta be like $10k in anabolic steroids type of person
my favorite thing is seeing all the blue check baby brains in the replies talking about how inspiring it is. rough estimate, 85% spent their real life earth money on twitter blue, 15% are verified because they host podcasts that ive never heard of called "money motivation" or whatever or write for bullshit magazines
Yeah, getting a gym break midday sounds fantastic for productivity. No joke
100%.
I’m getting really sick of these Elon Musk brain posts about how some workers aren’t suffering, and instead of wanting that for others, the posts are just rage and wanting to pull others into misery.
on the one hand this is a clear display of corporate brainworms, this is less full than my manager's calandar but when he shares screenshots of his week it's a cry for help
on the other hand, the only thing that has ever been able to keep me remotely organized despite my adhd's best efforts is my work calendar
on the third hand finance douches get the wall
