oh look. the alpha terf who doesn't know how srs works is co-heading the latest anti-queer campaign that somehow pops up all over the media sphere simultaneously and gets platformed by the MI5 journal to do so. Surely no astroturfing behind that.

as a side note, please archive links to such garbage in the future or post screenshots. linking to the original article gives shareholders the impression that terf shit is good for site impressions.

Oh, just the usual, she thinks that

        cw transphobia

trans women would be men whose penises have been cut off.

I bet she also can't find the clit. Bitch is clearly dumb enough for that.

there's no way she could tell a difference between a cis vagina and a neovagina. I definitely can't and i've been eating pussy for more than twice as long as her.

Yeah chuds like to use images of either the most botched surgeries or from fresh out of surgery and be like this is what all bottom surgery is. Nah bro, you don't do that for any other plastic surgery and claim it's mutilating.

lowkey it is pretty irksome that not many women post their post-op vag many years after surgery. i find that information far more valuable. the ones ive seen, especially the ones with tattoos over scars or pubic hair plugs into the scars, and had years to heal, look exactly like any vag

but you kinda gotta wade through a sea of gore to find any of that. i really do not understand the ladies that post their gored up bits, it provides no useful info

I was open to posting 1 year+ pics leading up to my surgery, but just posting to r/transgender_surgeries for advice and to talk about things during recovery already got me weird replies, DMs, and people suddenly following me on reddit. unfortunately, no amount of wanting to be helpful will get me to subject myself to that.

Bitch wtf you talking about everyone is gay now

Also you've only been in the community for ten years? What the hell is the difference between ten years ago and now? Shit I've been involved with the community longer than her and I'm half her age

They aren't real gays though. Everyone knows that real gays are women who aren't really attracted to women but just think that by going lesbian, they're sticking it to the men they don't like.

On the upside, it's increasingly clear that this "movement" consists of about 8 people plus the Tory back office staff in charge of publicizing all their BS.

"The lesbian community" to this shitter consists of gold stars only, everyone else is not a real lesbian.

What they are actually concerned about is that lesbians are increasingly embracing trans women, that the gold stars are a dying breed.

It's a bit ironic though because this person probably isn't a gold star lesbian herself if she came out at 40.

Ah true. But even if she's not you know what I mean, she's in the "real lesbians aren't attracted to trans women". The actual concern this woman has is that lesbians within the lgbt community are embracing transwomen and when they do that, they stop being lesbians in this person's eyes. Thus lesbians disappearing is what they think is occurring.

She probably gets icky feelings if another woman she wants to date has ever been with a trans woman. Like they're impure or something. Have seen similar behaviour from racists. It's also like "virginity" in a way.

A woman who has never been with a man that only likes women. Typically someone who goes to the trouble of identifying as a gold star excludes trans women from the liking women bit.

A special kind of pure lesbian because they've never been with a man ever. Emphasis on the "pure".

Forgive my ignorance, but is "political lesbian" as dumb as I think it sounds? Is it just some cishet woman claiming queerness for some reason or am I way out of line?

It's an old idea with second-wave feminism, that all relationships with men perpetuate the patriarchy and that the only correct choice politically is to be lesbian. It's the origin of the TERF movement, with the following idea that being FTM trans is also perpetuating patriarchy.
Worth noting that most second wave feminists were good people, it just spawned some weird spin-offs

I've definitely met bisexuals who only date women, but it's not so much a political thing as a safety/QOL thing.

During the second wave I'd imagine this message got a lot of women to leave their miserable marriages and critically examine their sexuality for maybe the first time ever. I'd bet that the ironic consequence to this (from the political lesbian perspective) is that it would lead to a lot more women identifying as bisexual.

lesbian is kind of a dated term. it's gendered so that's why it's disappearing. it seems just as accurate to say "gay woman."

It's not really disappearing because it isn't really gendered. There are trans mascs who hold onto the lesbian label even after transitioning. There are plenty of non binary people who embrace it too. Typically those who identify as lesbian are more likely to be trans positive and left wing than their gay identifying counterparts.

Lesbian really means something like, "person who society sees as a woman who isn't attracted to cis men." Its actually quite inclusive. This is all just my experience though.

Edit: it's also important to preserve lesbian because of how different our experiences are to bisexuals. Not being into men in our world is quite a trip
